We’d previously talked about our hope that the gap between 2.4 and 2.5 would be shorter than previous updates, and we’re thrilled to say we’re on track to deliver. We expect the Goddess of Thunder to join your Avengers roster in just a few weeks in late June.
we’re also announcing the next step in our long-term plan to continue expand the story and playable content of Marvel’s Avengers: a new Warzone and Omega Level Threat that will be coming next after Update 2.5.

Although she’s from another dimension, Jane is adorned in true Asgardian finery. Eagle eyed fans will notice the connective tissue between this Jane look and our Iconic Odinson, which is 100% by design. But where Odinson’s look is regal, Jane’s is designed to be fiercer and warrior-like. Her aggressively-shaped winged mask, a departure from past versions of her comics look, is instantly evocative of her core DNA.

Mighty Outfit

Her Mighty outfit is our faithful reinterpretation of her instant-classic design from Thor #1 (2014), brought to life beautifully by Russell Dauterman. With the addition of Norse-inspired detailing across the suit, and further material embellishment, we like to think this is look leaps off the page into full cinema-quality glory.

Valkyrie Outfit

janethor_valkyrie_marvappr_legal-rev-gyZSBkqn-g.jpg

In the comics, Jane evolves over time from the Mighty Thor to Valkyrie, an earthly agent of Asgard. We stayed very close to her core design, imagined once again by the talented Russell Dauterman. Through thoughtful additions of decorative and construction details, this deceptively graphic-looking design springs to life in game. To further capture the magic of her comic origins, we made her primary weapon Undrjarn, the All-Weapon.

Thordis Outfit

Longtime Jane fans might recognize this look’s inspiration from What If? #10 (1977). In this story its Jane Foster, not Donald Blake, who lifts Mjolnir and is imbued with Thor’s power. While its classically driven source design is faithfully expressed, we added embossing detail and extended loincloths to give it a modernized feel.

I'm truly shocked that the move to a different publisher didn't affect this game. It must be making a decent profit from selling those skins. I'll still stand by the fact that at it's core the game is pretty fun, especially the campaign. It's a shame that they just can't figure out their gear system and end-game situation.

Honestly shocked they haven’t just given up on this game by now.
They never said they would give up, but I honestly thought that new management would make them shelve this game.

Can't believe I forced myself to play this game and finish all of the DLC. Granted I got it through gamepass so my time was the only wasted.

Hawk eye for at starters

Black panther and spider man are just a mix of other char skils
I'll give you the first comparison as Kate and Hawkeye's kit look very, very similar. However, BP and Spiderman playing the same is one of the oddest comments I've seen in a while about this game.

Don't pass gaas, it is your Destiny!

Not to each other but mix of other hero's like black widow etc...

Are you talking about character appearance and animations? If so then yes, it appears like they've tweaked some of Captain America's animations like his running animation and applied it to BP and also he has a very similar physical build to Cap. I can't confidently say if they've tweaked Black Widow's grapple to behave more like a swing for Spiderman or if they just made an entirely new system. His swing felt terrible at first because of that, but they've updated it since then.

Look, I was tired of Tomb Raider after the 2nd title, but for FFS to keep them continually working on this game, holy shit. Another dev team wasted.

Here for the Thordis costume. Can you get rid of that cape?
Obligatory they censored the crotch and butt area with those flaps post.
You probably won't play the game to find out so I'll explain for you both. Capes and flaps like that one are all physics based in-game. The minute you press the sprint button(which you do often in multiplayer because people are going to rush to the next objective), you're going to see her ass regardless.

Considering the amount of sexy alternate outfits for Kate and Black Widow, this might be the wrong thread and the wrong game to make these types of claims for and plant the flags you're planting.

Read the fucking room square.
Isn't this why Square Enix sold the dev team off? Aren't they owned by Embracer now?

Disney is probably contractually forcing them to release this garbage as promotion for the new Thor movie coming out, for the 1000~ people still playing.

The DLC characters have all been boring to me, personally. Marvel has so many characters to pick from, and this is what we get. I'd even lift an eyebrow for something stupid like Howard the Duck, or why not Punisher, Daredevil, Silver Surfer, etc etc etc.

I assume they're saving the better characters for a better game.

No it is.

Most Marvel characters aren't actually avengers, also they are clearly at the mercy of Disney to do tie-ins.
She-Hulk is rumoured to be next, so that's another tie-in.

Legitimate question please no shit post reply.

Does this game have an active player base? Is it making money via mtx?

It's weird though, in the online community it just seems totally dead. Don't see a soul talk about it unless an update is out. I guess the player base is just a quiet bunch.
Most people are just annoyed really, low content drip feed, bad communication, weird bugs, endgame "challenge" is just c-tier game design, low variety of enemies.
The very core of fighting is fun though.
A lot of it can be blamed on COVID delays and apparently being beholden to Disney for character choice/tie-ins, but there's also a factor of the team just being clueless and headstrong for many stupid design decisions.

I hear many people say the core combat is fun...

I had no fun

No need to get that worked up over a joke post.

This partially depends on the hero you play. This is my ranking from most fun to least fun after getting most of the characters to max gear level(not max hero level), not counting raids:

1. Captain America
2. Thor
3. Black Panther
4. Kate Bishop
5. Spiderman
6. Clint(Hawkeye)
7. Kamala(Ms. Marvel)
8. Black Widow
9. Iron Man
10. Hulk

While Iron Man is nearly an absolute necessity for raids as much as Thor, he isn't nearly as fun to play as(in my experience) and his play style becomes a bit of a chore. Hulk is still way too weak and slow. Black Widow has fun combos and a fun parry move, but her finishers and unique skills are lacking in power compared to my top 4. Kamala is fun to play as but mainly excels as the sole group healer and reviver(when you gear for it correctly). Spiderman would be way higher ranked for me, but his entire kit and finishers are useless in boss fights, and if you count raids he's even worse. He's wonderful to play as for any regular side quests or dailies though.

No worries I'm not worked up, I'm just clarifying for people who aren't aware. Too many people who don't play the games that the thread is made about, come into these threads taking joke posts seriously and then they have the wrong impression about everything.

Problem with Hulk is while he can theoretically block lots of damage by using Rage, the activation cost is way too high for it to be spammable. During the demo, the activation cost was practically non-existent and you could tank through near everything just by constantly tapping counter while doing other things. They nerfed him massively on release. I have no idea how anyone can find a properly built Thor fun though, it's pretty much Godblast spam over and over. I would personally say Kate > Cap >BP. No idea about Spidey, I do have the game on Playstation too but I'm mostly been sticking with Steam cause the Steam group is pretty dedicated. It's near impossible to find randos but people will log in if you ask for a group.

This is why I had to qualify the list as a non-raid list. If I include raids then yes, Thor goes way down the list and could be seen as one of the most boring to play as. Outside of raids it's really fun to play with his kit. Cap is also really fun if you're not fully counting raids. There's no other feeling like doing a well placed shield throw and it ricocheting off of 5 or so enemies and then starting a combo right after the shield comes back to you. His gameplay loop feels extremely cool and fun, and it was one of the things that really made me want a new solo Captain America action game(aside from that Xbox 360/PS3 game).

It's just no fun to play with Thors and it was made even worse they made tachyon anomalies permanent so you can have multiples of them in a group. You're just not going to get to attack anything lol. Mostly you're playing catch up since not only can they wipe out the entire screen they can fly halfway across the map before you finish looting too. Hopefully they don't make the same mistake with Foster's kit and make her fun to play with and as.
