New Sony INZONE gaming headsets & monitors

It’s a new brand for Sony Electronics. They don’t want Bravia (TVs) to make PC gaming shit.

Sony BRAVIA TVs (for PlayStations)
Sony INZONE monitors and headsets (for PCs)

Its also probably so they can have everyone at EVO use Sony branded monitors and headsets.

For esports, I doubt they care much about HDR.
I know what it is, the quality comment makes sense. Playstation Branded items have always had a certain lack of quality.

When should we expect official details?

Bit underwhelmed based on the alleged pricing. It's not necessarily overpriced and depending on the quality of the panel it might be right in line with the market (adjusting for inflation), but there are competitive options available now that you can get for less.
But I am very open to Sony and PS wanting to expand into peripherals/accessories, especially high-grade goods.

That wouldn't be a bad thing if they perform well.

Monitor specs

Nothing special. 1000:1 means it is IPS. So it can be effective 800:1 if it uses LG panel.
So bleeding and glow are guaranteed.
Terrible fake hdr guaranteed.

KVM could be nice. HDMI kvms are really expensive.
HDMI 2.1 ok ok

it's another monitor - pass.
I was kinda hoping it would have good speakers or something else for that price.

It will for sure look worse than lg27uk650 I had. It was 4k60 but very good ips panel (still fake hdr)... for 500usd.
1300 for a monitor is a tragedy. lg c1 48" or even c2 42" are that price and have a lot of other functionality and amazing speakers

So they’re IPS but the M9 (the 4K model) has FALD to increase contrast.

Yeah they just said that. So I was wrong!
m9, 4k, ips, 144hz, hdmi 2.1 and full FALD. We dont know how many zones but it already seems promising for a monitor.
And I like the stand

Mann I’m disappointed these monitors are targeting the pc users. Idgaf about pc. They better interest me with the H9
If you have a PS5 you’re better off just buying a TV tbh.

H7 seems like a good headset.
But Nylon fabric earpads.
H9 Noise cancelling is stupid and needless in home. Now you will be able to be robbed while you play !

They know it’s possible, they just understand it’s niche. (Esports, basically.)

Most people (like >90%) buy a PS5 to play on their TV sitting on the couch.
I don't see what makes it so hard for them to offer something as basic as 1440p, there is just no excuse.

I play console games on monitor all the time, sometimes I just feel like it makes more sense to me. The size of the screen is relative too, as a monitor will usually take over a bigger part of your FoV than most TVs set ups.

Monitors are a great option for people playing in their office, on dorms, etc.

Target audience is probably someone living in a coed dorm or in a noisy flatshare.
Good thing about ANC though, is that you can switch it off.

Currently playing my PS5 on my LG C7 Oled since 2017. I was just wondering whether this monitor can take my mind off Sony A95K or not coz I’m confused as fuk whether I should upgrade to A95K or get the C1

Buy a PC or get a 1080p/2160p monitor.

Or just get the Sony A90K 42” OLED.

I play the majority of my PS5 games on a monitor....so.....FALSE :)

They look fine design wise, i might actually upgrade to this - i've been looking for a 4k monitor to replace my old 27 inch one i have currently.
Me too. I have both my PC and PlayStation consoles hooked up to a 144Hz monitor.

LG's UltraGear 27GP950 is £599 here
Holy crap, 1300 for a 27'' monitor ?

These prices seem ridiculously high.

IGN review says the M9 full price is $900.

Which means it’ll on sale for like $700 over time.

The Sony Inzone M9 is a 27-inch gaming monitor with everything you’d want from a 4K screen, including a 120Hz refresh rate with HDMI 2.1 to drive it, IPS colors, HDR 600, VRR, and G-Sync compatibility. But what really gives this gaming monitor its edge is its HDR capabilities (including one that’s PlayStation-specific) and competitive $899 price tag.
