Returnal PC port seems imminent. Bunch of updates to Steamdb entry.

In May, SteamDB logged the presence of a new product in the database which goes by the codename ‘Oregon’.

While it wasn’t immediately clear what the game is, certain localisation strings in the game’s listing make it clear that it’s a PC port of Returnal.

On Thursday, for example, the game’s achievements were updated with new localisations, with 19 new languages added.

Although the Oregon codename doesn’t give away that the game is Returnal, its localisation strings include such phrases as ‘Atropos’, ‘Tower of Sisyphus’, ‘In Helios’ and ‘Returning’, making the game’s identity clear.
Now the site’s history page shows that the in-development game continues to get new builds on a daily basis.

Bet this also launches before Uncharted.

Hopefully it has dual sense support for pc players as it’s integral to how it plays.

Hopefully there’s also some sort of easy mode patched in.

BUY it. It's the best ps5 only game.
Love it

When I agree that it's a great game (and I don't even like roguelikes that much), calling it the best PS5 only game is kind of silly when there are a total of 5 (five) PS5 only games, including a short tech demo and a remake of 2009 game:
  • Astro's Playroom
  • Demon's Souls
  • Destruction AllStars
  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
  • Returnal
...

As with any other Sony release on PC: day one, boys and girls. DAY ONE.

Just like Resogun was the best ps4 game for a while after it launched. History repeats itself.

Easy recommend to any metrovania fan.
For those who like metroidvanias and roguelikes it should be awesome. Everything except the sense of progression is absolutely top notch, like all time top 10, plays amazingly well, movement is perfection, but for me who’re not used to roguelikes it felt like playing without saving and I ended up hating it.

I'm pretty sure we had better games than Resogun 20 months into the lifecycle of PS4. Bloodborne?

but for me who’re not used to roguelikes it felt like playing without saving and I ended up hating it.

I'm pretty sure I will cheat and mod 'quick save anywhere' option to the game. SUE ME.

And it's the best new game out of these. Demons souls is a remake.
The smaller pool of ps5 only games, does not invalidate this

As a fast paced "twitch" shooter, wouldn't m+kB make more sense here? Full Dualsense support would be nice ofc.
sure, but the game plays great with a controller too.. After the initial hurdle, I really got into it.
And this game got the best haptics so far on ps5. You can mute the audio (and controller speaker) and you still hear a lot through the vibrations.
The rain, portal humming, shooting trigger resistance. Fantastic.
Also.... beware DUALSENSE users with old springs - the game might break your trigger spring. easy to replace and fixed in new models but still

Let's pretend Destruction AllStars never happened

shooting trigger resistance
It’s too weak for me, I keep pushing it over the ”edge” and end up trying to shoot secondary fire when it’s not recharged.
But maybe you can increase the stiffness with some system settings?

They should try pushing it out of the door kicking and screaming. 39,99, available now!
No drip-feed marketing months in advance, with no date or price, like the pathetic lack of communication we've seen with Uncharted (GoW was handled fine).

It's in the system settings in ps5? But it should be on high by default.
Or maybe your trigger spring is broken ?

Been playing this for the past week, I was only slightly interested, was waiting for bargain bin discount tbh, but finally gave it a go through PS+ premium. The game is soooooooo good. If you like rogue likes you’re in for one a hell of a treat.

I get Metroid Prime vibes from it, there are only some similarities but there’s this atmosphere about it that feels like I’m playing MP again for the first time. It’s great.

You must have Trigger Effect set in the PS5 UI set to off, weak, or medium. I don't see how it's too weak if you have it set to Strong(which I use). I lean on it pretty heavily and don't have a problem. It was only an issue when I first started playing Returnal within a couple of hours because it was the first game I played on PS5 that used that type of resistance.
