EA Sports' F1 2022 remained at the top of the UK physical charts for a second consecutive week.

Sales for the title dropped 48% week-on-week, which is a healthy performance for a second week on shelves.

Most of the copies were sold on a Sony platform, with 37% of the sales going to PS5 and 32% to PS4, versus 22% on Xbox One and 10% on Xbox Series X|S.

F1 2022 debuted last week, with sales down slightly over the previous entry in the franchise.

Meanwhile, Klonoa: Phantasy Reverie Series, which includes remasters of 1997's Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and 2001's Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil, debuted at No.5.

The Bandai Namco-published title mostly sold on Switch, at 52%, followed by PS5 at 33%.

Further down in the charts, Inin Games' Pocky & Rocky Reshrined debuted at No.17.

A remake of 1992 SNES shooter Pocky & Rocky, it released on Nintendo Switch -- where it sold 81% of its copies -- and PS4.

Finally, Numskull' Games' AI: The Somnium Files - Nirvana Initiative charted at No.27 for its first week on sale, with the Switch being once again the dominant platform (63% of its sales).

Here is the GfK UK Boxed Top Ten for the week ending July 9:

Yeah, there is something funny with the rounding but it's possible depending on how detailed the data that they get.

36.5, 31.5, 21.5, 9.5 etc all would get rounded up, right? (double guessing myself now)

Separately was looking for the previous platform splits, sadly didn't get wk1 for F1 2022 boxed but got WK1 for F1 2021.

It's quite a slow launch for Codemasters' new racing game, with boxed launch sales down almost 30% compared with last year's game. 34% of sales were of the Xbox version, the PS4 edition accounts for another 34%, and the remaining 32% was on PS5.

I feel like Klonoa needed more work to attract non-fans as well. They'll look at the graphics and shake their heads knowing how new Crash games look like (as an example).

How much of an upgrade over 2021 is it?

Thats on gamepass and im trying to justify the upgrade to myself as im really enjoying it.
F1 2022 has a 10 hour trial if you're on game pass.

I played 2021 on game pass, am currently playing the trial of 2022. They're basically the same game, but with the addition of the Miami track, new cars / stats and this weird "lifestyle" thing where you can decorate this home space and take supercars (like the McLaren 720s or whatnot) on test drives. Honestly all the new stuff is a bit shit but it's still a great game.

Some of the data feedback in the practice sessions at GPs is better now - shows with on-track overlays where you're gaining / losing time. That's one concrete improvement (that I could tell).

Cool, didn't realise about the trial. Thanks for the response, i'll check it out at the weekend.
