Look at all those Sony time-exclusives that everyone loves to play and watch. Says it all really not a single PC exclusive on the list :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I am just annoyed at the subculture of PC Gaming aka "Master Race". Because is not realistic or representative of the actual experience by the vast majority of the PC market.
Isn't that the point of master race, grandiose superiority. They don't care if there are "peasants" within even. I just hate the fact that a lot of them dismiss any other opinions even facts in an aggressive manner. Same with some console people not getting PC gaming like the OP but they tend to be less aggressive with their opinions.

PS5-$400
50 $70 games=$3500
PS5 Pro=$500(unless you want 20-30 fps next gen games lul)
7 years of PS plus=$420
Totes=$4820

PC=$2000
50 $20 games=$1000
Free online=$0
Free mods=$0
Totes=$3000
At least 60fps on all games=priceless.
The costs do add up over time. Most people just don’t want to know how much they’ve spent.

I did some calculations. For the whole hobby from 2014-2022 I’ve passed $10,000…

I’ve spent $6,000 on PC hardware alone…
But then it’s one complete setup, screens for a triple screen setup, one full system upgrade and two separate graphics card upgrades. Nothing excluded.

Your example only show PS5 for consoles. Add Xbox too into the equation too, and subscriptions. And bigger SSDs for both platforms. And then there is Switch too. And the Pro/X updates mid gen. You could even add a TV tbh because why bother upgrading to 120hz VRR without consoles?

What did I just read? Lol. The people who are into PC gaming, (more-so than into other types of gaming) know what they are getting into. PC's offers way more flexibility, hardware/software customisation, future/backwards compatibility, mods.. etc Its essentially an open platform for other platforms of your choice. Plus due to ever evolving technologies and the above formentioned it can do way more than consoles and end up the definite versions of games. the definitite And people are willing to spend more on that for that privilege. And 'gaming' PC's can do a lot more than just game and stream content.

Its just silly to compare them. If value is one argument then yes consoles are probably cheaper upfront and probably over the course of its supported lifetime. Though that's not without its pros and cons like being locked into platforms, and hidden costs like online paywalls and generally more expensive games. On the other flip of the coin, consoles are are cheaper up front, user friendly and easy for the average consumer to pick up and play.

I just really never understood why or what's the point!! There was never something strongly suggested me to get a high budget PC for gaming. Just why on earth would a gamer spend so much money on a PC, when games with great graphics will be designed for console anyways? just for little graphical improvements that don't make any difference!! That's it!!

It just feels kinda dumb to me?

Anyways PC gamers your master race 3000$ PC will never have these games (at least not on release date)
Demon souls remake
God of war ragnorak
Returnal
Final fantasy 7 rebirth
Final fantasy 16
Horizon forbidden west
Spider man 2

It must be really useless being a PC gamer, it's like marrying a 10/10 girl that doesn't have a pussy.

Just an answer for OP, no fanboy since I own all platforms and make sex to them all. Also, how can a grill be a 10/10 with no poocy?
Your crazy ass thinking people buy only $70 games on console but only $20 games on PC. Are you nuts? If you buy at launch price on PC you are paying essentially the same. $10 less at most for some titles. $20? Lmao.

? Quite a few games support mouse and keyboard on cosole now
https://www.purexbox.com/guides/all-xbox-games-with-mouse-and-keyboard-support

https://gamertweak.com/ps5-games-support-keyboard-mouse/

most likely just few games are supported after some light google search, add all this and it's a joke number. My question why the majority does not support it? And games like divinity original sin, path of exile, civilization etc is way better with keyboard and mouse but they don't support it.

PC is for those who care the most about their games and want the absolute best graphics/performance. It's not for everyone, I guess 🤷‍♂️

If you don't see the reason then stick to your little plastic box and play games on that.

Feel exactly the same. My brother talked me into building this monster Pc. It been literally a paperweight. Games really don’t look any much better than ps5/SX, so it sits, never powered up or used. I have an i9-9900k OC’d, RTX 2080ti, and 32 gb’s og that gskill rip jaws memory. So far, fuck this thing. Biggest waste of money I ever spent. I’m waiting for Nvidias 4090, with hdmi 2.1, check bencharks and make a decision. I wanted to love gaming on PC, just can’t get into it.

I don't necessarily think a super-powered really expensive PC is always needed, but one of the benefits of the PC platform itself is the scalability of the hardware.

I'm still on a GTX 1060 and do all kinds of stuff with my PC that I can't with the Switch, Series X or PS4 Pro. For example, last night I felt like playing Ocarina of Time in high resolution without lag, on a real N64 controller for the C buttons. So I did.

Really, it's all about access to Windows. You could do same with a Steam Deck and have even more utility...like a PC and a Switch in one device.

You can argue about m/kb vs. gamepad all day for FPS games, but simple fact is PC gives you the option. If for some reason you want the console experience, plug in a controller and in most games the on screen button prompts will change. Most of the time, on console, you aren't given the option at all, which for me personally kills the whole deal. Some genres just work better on PC. Many years ago, I REALLY wanted to play Starcraft II but couldn't afford a new PC right away. I had dreams of a console version of the game like Starcraft 64 that would let me plug in a mouse and thought it JUST might happen. Well it didn't, so I needed a PC. Pretty dumb story, right?

I love PC gaming, there is so much more variety and freedom that you don't get with console gaming.

Take Skyrim as one example, that game has stood the test of time thanks to modders, there are so many unique mods that add so much more to your favourite games, you can't achieve this level of community input on console gaming.

PC gaming is also way cheaper, the market place to purchase games is more open than console gaming is, you can get CD keys from various websites so you dont have to pay the huge $70 price tags that you do on console gaming.

With Xbox Game Pass now on PC, its utterly pointless to have an Xbox if you have a gaming PC.

Playstation are slowing catching up with GOW, Horizon, Uncharted and TLOU on/coming to PC.

In a few years time all the console exclusive games will be on PC also.

I don't really need to make the argument for graphical superiority, we all know this.

Emulation?

I think you misused the word 'never' there. Are you an EFL speaker?

Either this is a troll topic or just teenage hormones, but I'll bite.

Consoles are effectively "PCs" themselves, just lower specs. And it's true, visually the games will not be drastically different, except:

- true 4K gaming
- high FPS gaming
- raytacing (current gen consoles are quite limited)
- inexpensive games (major sales, key sites)
- perfect backwards compatibility

PS5 games are $70 at launch. PC games at launch I hardly ever pay more than $45 for between various key sites or promos. As time goes on the savings drastically improve. Also all Sony exclusives are making it to PC anyway, it's not that there's nothing to play while the exclusivity window lapses.

PC gaming is actually far more flexible and affordable long term, and a better experience.

Performance is king in this house. Consoles can have their exclusives but until performance surpasses the PC, I will hold off on changing my primary platform.

Oh Ok, but how was I to know you were being dumb like the op. Drop the "team blue" nonsense though. I said consoles and I play console and PC. The fact that you see this as hardware "teams" instead of team sane vs dumb is telling.

When consoles can push monitors like this at 120+ fps come see me.

In all fairness to people not seeing a difference if you are playing your PS5 and nice gaming PC on a regular 4k 60hz monitor then yeah I could see where the difference isn't huge

But you don't build a nice gaming PC and play on regular 60hz monitors

As far as just preferring Sony games thats totally different and there are probably better places to be than here at GAF if you want Sony #onlyfans

Why would I do that? My monitor (that monitor) is 240hz. Doesn't mean I can't enjoy console gaming too. I just found it dumb that somebody was suggesting PC games are $20 and now making this about team blue.
