To be fair he does say real life, of course he could just stay indoors all day and not talk to anyone meaning he doesn't know anyone at all in real life making the above comment actually true...

Yo lordarchaon666 lordarchaon666 how you enjoying your PS5 by the way? I'm still using mine daily.

I'm just asking him randomly and this is something completely unrelated to the hyperbolic comment about no one being happy with their PS5. However if other people reading this draw the conclusion that the prior comment made about no one being happy about their PS5 is insane, I won't stop them.

After the results come out referring to PS5 after it overtakes Xbox:
Ultimately, supply is still pretty bad, and actually much worse than in 2021. The only thing that helped so far was decreasing demand.

Both Series X and PS5 are much easier to find now compared to 2021, despite lower supply.

You and me at the end of July when I told you console demand had dropped with the -11% decline in xbox hardware sales and better availability:
Xbox hardware sales were down 11%, you know that right? This isn't a case of "we've solved the supply issue". This is lower demand.

Keep dreaming. There was a supply issue for XSX last quarter, and more XSS sold (relatively), which means revenue dropped since XSS is much cheaper. No sign of lower demand.

I know the idea of console demand especially xbox makes you upset but logically how can hardware sales be down 11% with more consoles available on shelves but demand be the same? Does logic not mean anything to you?

They've been more readily available for the past couple of weeks. Before that, there was almost nothing.

And you thumbs up this post that's replying to me:
Dude, you are clueless. There have been supply issues. This is for the year. Just recently have Xbox consoles been more readily available.

Now July results come out and you're siding with lower demand. Glad you have finally come around I guess.

You're conflating different things here. The 11% decline is revenue, not the amount of Series X sold. Easily explained by more sales of the cheaper Series S.

Furthermore, you're ignoring the fact that the consoles only just recently became more available, while our last discussion was about the time between April and June.

Hope this clears up the misunderstandings :messenger_winking:

No misunderstanding. Revenue and units both declined but because you could hide behind no numbers for xbox units you were saying there was somehow an 11% decline in hardware revenue but no decline in units with no info.

Demand for consoles (Series X and Series S) declined from April to June too and you were arguing that they hadn't and it was Series X stock issues. You were arguing that Series X stock only got better in July and selling out. July results come out and they are not great with xbox selling less and now you're singing the demand has decreased tune for PS5. Console demand had steadily declined from April to July, it wasn't some cliff edge result just in July.

Quite happy with mine. Still use it regularly. My problem with the PS5 is more around people not releasing anything that truly feels next-gen since Returnal came out. I still get a lot of use out of the PS5, though. Still working through Elden Ring and giving Valhalla another try, but they both feel restricted by being on last gen machines.

I have the feeling we will only feel that next-gen thing again on PS5 when Housemarque or Bluepoint release their next games.

Just got a PS5 with Horizon the end of July.
Really happy with it and I kind of love Horizon FW. It just keeps going, side quest keep opening up and have follow ups. I like the story so far, robot variations is cool. Sometimes I get to a part that's a bit too difficult (randomly got to a camp with the bear robot), but man with some extra upgrades I got good.
Just tried Astro's playroom and have to go back, but HFW keept me happy for now.

They seem to be the only Sony studios developing for PS5 at the moment, so I think you're right. Looking forward to Bluepoint's next title, not bothered whether its another remake or an original title, I have faith it'll have high quality presentation.

These liars can't help themselves, man. Anything to push a narrative in support of their favorite plastic toy. It's embarrassing.
