”It is currently not possible to purchase the PC version of a title and then play it on a PS4 or PS5 console, or vice versa.”

”It is currently not possible to transfer your save data from the PS4 or PS5 version to the PC version of a PlayStation Studios title, or vice versa.”

I read this as that it’ll come sooner or later. Awesome!

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch

3.5 games if you want to be really picky

but

2 of those will be sold as one package, so 3 more releases. (it matters re: sales since they are only collecting once for those 2 games)

I am more interested in PlayStation Plus having a separate tier for PC users, because paying $17 just to be able to use cloud streaming is a little too much. Every other perk that comes with the "Premium" tier is only available to you if you have an actual console, in other words, why would people who are only interested in cloud streaming would pay for something that they cannot use? Alternatively as a PC player you could just purchase a PlayStation Now membership card, but people realized that those cards have much more value now so they raised the prices by at least $20, GG.

This aiant the Sony I once knew
The majority of new PC integrated GPUs from Intel such as Xe are improving while AMD PC APUs includes RDNA 2 base IGP. Consoles are less needed when the PC improves DRM and baseline integrated GPUs.

I cry about SonyGaf from my chair in Redmond, WA
Why would they move away from selling literally every single $500 console they can produce and taking a 20% cut of all game sales on it?
Well people in here thinks the same about Microsoft and Activision so it seems to be the logical norm in here.

we should really be blaming MS for this PC integration crap, Sony just followed suit. The 360 is going to be their last unique console
How?

I mean Microsoft gets blamed for nearly everything in here, but how can you blame Microsoft for releasing games on pc?

Sony aren't forced to anything. They weren't forced to release console games on pc.

With links to Epic Games Store and Steam, debunking that rumor of Sony making their own store/launcher.

After releasing some of its major IPs on PC, Sony has finally established a new page on the PlayStation‘s website solely for its games for PC. This isn’t surprising since the console manufacturer is already fully invested in porting its exclusive franchises to PC, a move that not only opens the games to a broader range of audiences but also helps Sony sell more blockbusters cross-platform, allowing the entertainment giant to bank on the already stellar list of money makers.

The PC page has listed games like God of War, Days Gone, and Horizon Zero Dawn, all of which are currently available on PC, however, the “Coming Soon” tab, which as the name gives away, reveals all the PlayStation-exclusive games that will soon be making their way onto PC. The section mentions three upcoming games: Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, and the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves collection. We already knew about Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered coming to PC for a while now and it’s great to see the newer Miles Morales game on its way too.

As per the information listed on the PlayStation PC page, the additional Spider-Man release will make its PC debut in “Fall 2022,” which isn’t that distant. A major boost for PC PlayStation fans, the new games will give some much-needed diversity to the portfolio of games, allowing players to tackle more grounded plot-points and character arcs. The third Sony game coming to PC is the Uncharted Legacy: of Thieves Collection which comprises the remastered versions of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy bundled together. Sony hasn’t shared any release window or date for this one, as the page simply says, “Coming to PC 2022.”

Miles Morales and Uncharted Legacy Collection coming in later this year.

Sony has finally joined broadening their software to PC, ironic when you think about their stance on this not too long ago, but now you can keep track of upcoming releases, and download the big PS5 hits on your PC all on one convenient webpage.

I know some here are mixed on Sony doing this, some may even have some words to say to one "Jim Ryan" but if you step back you will see this is a decision that will be most lucrative for Sony. Very Lucrative, especially if they wait 6 months to a year before bringing hit titles to PC, making them double the profits.

I assume eventually PSN will also be brought over to bridge the gap between PC and PS4 in the future. Sony also has PSNOW a streaming service, i expect them to take advantage of a Streaming app soon to play games on mobile devices too.

Good news, it's about time Sony started to realize that PC is a major market of games players, and the potential negative effect of people not buying PS5's is vastly overblown. PC primary players aren't buying PS5 consoles en masse just for the exclusives, and the ones that were were only buying exclusives, so the benefit of having them in the ecosystem is the same as if they simply bought them on PC. This way it allows way more people to buy the games, which leads to bigger revenue, and larger word-of-mouth by people talking about the games. The only people who this negatively affects are the people who think a game is better by being "only on Playstation", and those people shouldn't be of concern to any rational person.

And before anybody says anything, I'm a primary console gamer, I already have a PS5, and this probably won't affect me buying a PS6, I'm just glad that there could be more options for playing some of these great games.

pretty stupid business decision but as a 3080 owner, i hope to see GOW and TLOU remake day one on PC or soon after like they said for TLOU. I see no reason to stay in the PS ecosystem anymore.

FoH with this logic I guarantee you have a gaming PC. There are so many lies said on this forum for no reason. Noone in their right mind would be hyping up their platform of choice to be cannibalized by another platform. You are probably secretly praying Sony just goes 3rd party(which they most certainly will if they continue down this path) and release everything on the PC and says the hell with making meaningful hardware. Just say it with your chest instead of coming on here spewing obvious bs lol.

Speaking from pure logic, who would waste money on a Sony platform when you have a gaming PC or hell the steam deck and GeForce now/xcloud services ramping up when all of the games are coming to PC. The answer is only a fool,. You even eluded to it yourself in your post.
