How was the first one? It seemed pretty basic (and is a 3D side-on brawler, which not everybody likes,) but still might be a good button-basher if they did it right. Must have turned out well enough in sales, since the publisher doesn't go for sequels as often as you'd think for a licensed-game factory.

I never played it but apparently it's fun but a bit buggy. The graphics look rough.

It's a genuine shame how awful this looks.

I was really hoping after hot wheels unleashed (what is surprisingly a mega high quality title, especially for game mill) they would continue the trend and try put out higher quality titles, as hot wheels unleashed is their highest selling and fastest selling title ever too.

You would think that would incentivise, that a high quality looking and playing title would sell.

From a triple A lens this looks shoddy and unpolished, but I'm thinking au contraire this looks dynamic and somewhat original... gameplay especially in a quirky sort of way. You know the TV show is cheap in many aspects too, but it also has some real heart.

And that's the danger of going for 3D realism when there's a budget, it can end up looking like Shenmue 3. There's a sense here, however, that the team know their limitations and what the intentions are.

I will wait for reviews. The team were probably really passionate about making this, but it's also a perfect example of needing someone more experienced to come in and show them that they should make the fighting animations just slightly faster, just slightly more exaggerated, and add just slightly more frames.

It reminds me of when indie animators post their amateur sprite work on reddit and then they come back months later and present a way better animated sprite. This team stopped at that first step when they should be going for that extra push.
