People think trailers like this aren't useful, but they actually are. They tell you an important piece of the vision they're going for. Those traps will almost certainly play a role, among other things showcased. Most importantly, though, it tells us the mood they're going for and shows us the setting. I'm very excited about this.

2023 will potentially be the greatest year ever in gaming history.

No gameplay shown is lame. Still the only one I'm interested in though. Looks like a cool location and setting to match with the classic AC style.

I didnt finished AC:V, it dragged a lot. Can you explain the Basim not being the real one? You can spoiler tag it in case people are still playing AC:V.

It was actually Loki. Before the events of Valhalla he was slowly being consumed by him// Loki's consciousness began manifesting in Basim until he was fully reborn.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
Back to the roots, YES! I hope without woke bullshit...
Does being trained by woman in a ancient middle eastern country count?

Either way I'm glad it actually looks like an Assassin Creed game

Exposing the sinister cartel of retailers who allow companies to pay for advertising space.
I'm not terribly excited by the setting. We've already played an AC open world game set in a medieval middle eastern city.
How much difference could there be between Damascus in the 12th century and Baghdad in the 9th century?

"Hey, since we are creating these assets for AC 1 remake, why not reuse them on a new AC?"

"Eh, why not"

I wanna know what studio is making it. If its UBI Montreal, nice.

If its Ubi India, Singapore or some other unknown Ubi studio ... I'll stay away

There's plenty of time left for a gameplay showcase. Just don't preorder the (any) game...
It's $50 because it won't be a 50h open world long game more like 20h in a single city like the first games (which is fine).

The real new open world AC will be the codenamed japan themed "Red", probably winter 24, made by the Odyssey team.

I'm impressed how Ubisoft is nailing the Arabic settings with actual arabic language and actual written words and going so far as the details in the collector's case which is very nice. Other devs would just slap fake arabic and be done with it. Good job Ubi.

As for the trailer, I thought it was nice. Although, going back to the roots means dropping RPG but I will wait and see. Syndicate was action adventure and it was incredible.
