GTA 6 just got leaked (Up: confirmed real)

Ahhh ... You are right. See, he was so boring I don't even remember his name even after 2 playthroughs.
GTA V essentially used the same formula as South Park of balancing the story with relatively based characters (Franklin and Michael = Stan and Kyle) in order to get away with including bat-shit crazy, and therefore more interesting characters (Trevor = Cartman).

Not that they took the formula directly from South Park, but that was the first thing that came to mind when thinking about stories that give us the zany antics of a lunatic for us to laugh at, but then utilize these relatively more "moral" and based characters who point out how mean the zany guy is in an attempt to deflect any potential criticism.

Well this pretty much stands against ken's point.

So it was social engineering. They were still targetted by a malicious group, data assets stolen and ransomed back to them.

The means of the intrusion isn't even important.
It was a GAPING HOLE in their security, what do you mean?

Actively avoiding social engineering via education and training should be at the forefront of ANY security protocols. Just ask Uber, the same guy did it to them last week, also the SAME THING happened to CDPR, Nintendo and Ubisoft in the last two years...all by THIS GUY. I won't dox him, but plenty of people already know whom and where he is. If a 17 year old kid can disrupt billions just by sliding into DM's, I'll go out on a limb and say it's the most prevalent entry point for bypassing security that is going unchecked today, and these companies have turned a blind eye to it.

R* got caught with their pants down.

They'll only get a slap on the wrist. Unfortunate but true.
It's one kid, and he's already been caught before. He doesn't even cover his tracks. He fucked up targeting an American company this time, and this will likely destroy his whole families lives, financially. They've already had to move countries twice because of this little bastard.

Ooook....... and?!

No matter what training and education you give people, they will always fuck up. That's something you can guarantee.

And it's not as if I disagree with what you're saying. It's just irrelevant to the discussion I was having with Kenneth that you're replying to. That was a discussion about how it's crap for gamers and fans of the GTA series that this leak might mean a delay to the game or spoil some of the game's surprises.

Should Rockstar ensure its staff are educated about phishing? Sure. But as a gamer looking forward to playing GTA6 sooner rather than later, I don't really give a shit about R* staff phishing training.

What an idiotic response. It's as if you have no business discussing this...at all.
Ignored.

Having modded GTAV using ReShade and ENB, it won’t be as impressive to PC modders as it would for those who don’t or haven’t. It appears just a bit more polished with more AI scripting and physics capabilities. Just looking at the movements of the models and such, looks straight lifted out of GTAV’s existing engine and dropped into a new environment. Clearly a WIP, but nothing above and beyond…

Think it will be a lot of small robberies of various stores. Think they might be some vicious people too based on the leak of her shooting a person, to show they're serious. Think there might be a section where they break up and fight too. I think there might be a third minor MC with dreads that plays some kind of role in the story.
Didn't they do that in San Andreas where CJ and Catalina rob a few rural stores?

In actual money or theoretical money?
Theoretical money as the game wasn’t even out for a year or so when the source was leaked. I had a copy 😂 gave me a taste and I bought HL2 day 1.

The source was half finished, levels half built no textures etc… but the demo room with the shaders and stuff was cool as hell back then.

I don't recall if thats some mission itself or you merely meet her for the first time as she's robbing some place.

IF they did have some missions like that, I forgots lol

Wow looks horrific. This is easily my most anticipated game (the new Elder Scrolls doesn't count because I honestly don't believe it exists beyond a rough concept).

Preparing myself to be disappointed...but R* usually delivers so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
Dude its probably in alpha, no shit that footage of a game in the middle of development isnt gonna looked polished
