It's a limited time mode, but it's been a lot of fun so far. For those who aren't familiar with the mode from COD or any of the other games that have featured it, after each kill you get a different weapon to use, and you generally cycle through all or most of the guns in the game. They even added a throwing knife for the final weapon.

Has anyone else here been playing this? If so, what are your thoughts? I've barely touched Apex since they released the Control limited time mode, but I think I like this even more. You can see some gameplay below, if you want a better idea of how it works.

I never said COD did it first, but I believe Black Ops 1 popularized it to a level that Counter Strike did not. PC only release VS PC and console release of one of the most successful video games of all time (over 25 million copies sold), I think I'm going with COD.

Plus they even added a throwing knife, which is a lot like the way COD did it.

Gungame in CS 1.6 was the highlight of me and my friends summer back in 2003, almost a decade before BLOPS1. It was already wildly popular back (gungame servers were always populated and had great communities). You crazy.

We can only hope

They've had years to give players some 6 vs 6 non-competitive modes with respawns. Instead, the only dedicated mode we've been given is an even more competitive 3 vs 3 round-based mode that no one seems to want to play. I've stopped hoping for permanent variety from Apex devs. It only leads to constant disappointment. Those jokers can't even release a 120 fps mode for modern consoles when the freaking BETA for the new call of duty includes the feature.
