Plague Tale: Requiem releasing 18th October 2022

These developers don't need a beggarly publisher like Focus Home.
They have outgrown it for a long time. If the guys want to develop, then they will have to sell themselves to some really large publisher, or whatever is better to a platform owner

Excellent. Definite GamePass download for me as soon as it's out. Really enjoyed the first one on PS Plus. Probably not something I'd go so far as to buy, but more than worth a play considering.

Potential GOTY for me here, day 1 for sure.

There is probably an event that leads to this...we haven't seen the mother in any of these trailers that I can remember.
Yes, you're right. Actually WTF? Why are they being pursuit again? Well, I don't want to know until I play it.
AA, like all Focus Home published titles. Though it definitely isn't less impressive than many big budget games.
Actually, I just played Control, Darksiders 3, and am about to continue FE: 3H... This makes me realize I'm not liking AAA gaming these days (with some exceptions) and that I mostly prefer AA games, since I love Nintendo and Japanese games. It's like the gaming I love is still there.

Where did the time go!? I didn't realize this was coming out tomorrow. I hope I can find a copy at retail, otherwise I'll have to order a copy online and wait for shipping.

These screen shots are amazing, what a beautiful game!

I do wish Game Pass would slow down a bit though. I just finished Deathloop yesterday and started Scorn. Now Requiem is here already. I barely started Scorn but it's supposedly a short game so I'm going to try and finish it before this unlocks in PDT.

The game looks good in the pictures, not so much in reality. It runs in 30fps, sometimes it goes up to over 40fps. The graphics settings are almost non-existent, there are only HDR, Motion Blur and Chromatic Aberration. The graphics are quite weak, especially the facial animations, when the characters talk during the game you barely notice a movement on their face and the lips barely move very little. I still don't understand why the hair looks like the hair of a character from the PS3 era, I mention that I play on a Ps5. I am very disappointed with how it looks, I had higher expectations.

Maybe on PC is diferent, but on consoles does not look that good.

Game looks like it's internal res is 1080p upscaled to 4K on Series X. Very blurry even with CA off. Like, looks like I'm playing on a Series S.

Playing on an LG 55" 120Hz OLED

lmao the game looks absolutely stunning unless you playing it on a 480p screen or whatever. The geometry and asset detail is insane, texture and lighting work is also beautiful. Game is so dense. Animations are the only weaker part of the game, everything else is just gorgeous

Naaah. Its way higher than that. There is heavy depth of field usage aswell. The overall look of the game is amazing

The engine seems like a big improvement over the original, just at the very start the zone is bigger than anything in the first game and the tech/lighting is great.

You can tell by these screenshots adam took, that it's a lower internal resolution being upscaled, especially compared to the PC screenshots posted above this. The IQ is not as good as the PC ones.

Still looks good to me though.

I'll share some Series S screenshots soon but I must say it looks really good on a 1080p monitor. Feels like 40 FPS too, using VRR and 120hz refresh rate.

Yeah, they went for the Flight Sim model with VRR unlocking frame rate.

Which .. makes sense .. cause it's made by the same studio lol.

Yes, for those not aware, Plague Tale and Flight Sim are made by the same guys.
