It worked perfectly up until the literally end. I guess the ending CG length causes the game to crash.

Apparently, you can delete some file or something to fix it, but I didn't bother. I've finished FFIX enough times, I didn't feel the need to bother to watch the last part of the ending.

If it's literally the end CG that's fine, I'll stick it on the telly afterwards. Cheers. Gonna finish Super Mario RPG tonight so I might dive into that next.

I finished Prodeus (on Game Pass PC) last night.
Absolutely hated the last level... which tested my patience rather than my skill. Reminded me of DOOM: Eternal where you'd just fight off wave after wave and it felt like artificial padding.
The level editor and community maps were a nice additional.

Next up: A Plague Tale: Requiem.

Deathloop and Monster Hunter World

I held off on Deathloop until all the patches could be implemented and that was probably the right call, runs awesome on my PC with all the raytracing on and max settings, no stutters, no hitching. I am loving the game too so far. The Gunplay and movement feel great though I'm sensing the AI might be a bit on the retarded side but I'll see how things go.

Monster Hunter World is my first real attempt at a Monster Hunter game. I can tell this will be hundreds of hours of slow advancement but I'm enjoying the monster encounters, especially the randomness of things. I was hunting a Kulu-Ya-Ku (smallish bird/dinosaur) and an Anjanath (big T-rex looking dinosaur) came barreling through our fight, nearly wrecked me, then a Rathalos (huge orange dragon) swooped in and started wrecking the Anjanath while I kept chopping up the Kulu-Ya-Ku. It's just so much hectic fun.

Have been playing Cyberpunk 2077 again. Started the Quarry with a friend yesterday, played the prolog and I think it has potential. I'm also playing Grounded with another friend, must say it has positively surprised me.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Lots of games.

Scorn on PC. I'm liking it so far, even if it can get frustrating at times. The atmosphere it top notch, and the combat isn't as bad as I expected it to be. Only thing I don't like is the save system.

Vampire Survivors on the Deck. Pure cocaine in videogame form, and for just 5€ it must be the best 5€ I've ever spent. Just wish the game presentation was a bit more polished, but whatever, gameplay is nuts.

DOOM 3 on the Deck. Pretty cool so far, even if it has nothing to do with previous entries. The shotgun isn't as bad as some make it out to be, and the setting can be kinda scary sometimes. I remember this game being a powerhouse back in the day, so kinda crazy to be playing it on a portable.

And finally, Cristal Project, also on the Deck. This game is fucking great. If you love JRPGs with actual gameplay, a job system, challenging combat and lots (lots!) of free roam exploration, then this game is for you. Crazy to think it has been made by one dude and that it uses lots of free assets, the package is so well put together that it really feels professionally made.

The music was also taken from royalty free sources but man, it's so great and it fits so well you'd think it was made for the game.

Seriously, go play it.

Pretty much has been mostly Overwatch 2. Used to play it nonstop for the first 2-3 years when it came out, then fell off completely. It is nice to be back. Matches start within a couple seconds all the time in quickplay. It is great. I tried Overwatch 1 a couple of months ago and the wait for a match there was more than 5 minutes sometimes, because it probably was so dead at that point.

Trials of Mana Remake and will be getting into Luigi's Mansion 3 soon. My wife's had her Switch since 2018 but I was given one for my birthday. It got me out of a semi-hiatus on gaming I'd been in since about 2020.

What time is it?
Working my way through Scorn slowly because of AMEM. I'm on the final act. I really enjoyed the first hour thanks to the tremendous atmosphere, but it is far too linear, with elementary puzzles and the combat is a chore. Can't wait until I finish it. Hopefully by this weekend.

Trying to play Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire on Playstation 5. I've never played a game that crashed so many times in a row.

XSX- Still plugging away at Ocotpath Traveler. On chapter 3. I'm having to grind a bit though.
Switch - Played some demos for Triangle Strategy and Metroid Dread. Think I've settled on playing Luigis Mansion 3 for now. It is fun. Definitely coming back to Triangle Strategy though.
PS5 - Nothing. Waiting on God of War. Everything else takes a back seat for a bit once Ragnarok is here.
PC - A Plague Tale is downloaded, but not sure if I'll get to it before GOW.

Honestly, a hell of a lot better than I expected. I didn't finish the demo but my first impressions were surprisingly positive. Same for Luigi's Mansion 3. Just a fun game.

Octopath Traveler is my focus right now though. I've got nearly 80 hours in that game. But it can be a grind so I have Luigi to change the pace up for a bit here and there.

Thanks for the mention, think I'll try thr demo out for myself. Also hoping I'll find a demo for Harvestella but it maybe too early for that.

80-hours in O.T...I played in quarters. It was hard to put down and I kept jumping into my Steam backlog to pace.

This is my first Luigi's Mansion game since the OG on GC.

Are demos regional? I'm seeing a demo for Harvestella here in the US.

My first Luigi game ever. I've never been much of a Nintendo fan. I'm surprising myself in my old age.

Nope, Mexico still gets all titles from the States. Going to check that out! Thanks mate!

Still playing Elden Ring, never really dropped it since the release, 300+ hours now.

Occasionally I think it’s the #1 best game ever made but it has some stupid difficulty spikes that will always make it stumble down behind Super Metroid.

Another playthrough and I’m at the final boss fight and yet again I feel the anger build up and the score drop.

Next time FROM, please make the camera automatically zoom out when a boss can’t fit the screen. Can’t see shit on the Elden Beast fight, the camera is the real boss.

Football Manager 23 - wasn't going to buy it but thought fuck it.

Persona 5 Royal (Switch) - originally played it on PS4 and missed playing it since selling my PS4. Playing it on Switch is perfect. There's just something about Persona games that makes them suited for handheld devices. Maybe it's because I originally played P4G on Vita. I have P4G on Steam but will wait for the Switch version to play it.

Dropped off Overwatch 2. The gameplay is fun but the grinding for shitty rewards puts me off. I shouldn't really let it bother me but I know next season I'm going to have no chance of getting a new hero if they keep putting them at 55 lol.

Playing through Ion Fury right now and it’s pretty great. Frustrating at times but really good.

I wish those spider enemies would fuck off tho.
Smaller enemies like the spiders or those tiny flying fucks are really, really weak against the penetrator (the uzi-like one)

The batton also works, but for me they were hard to hit with it at times.

Have fun man! One of my fav boom shoots so far.

I bought Triangle strategy a few weeks ago, I'll play it eventually...
Still trying to find time to put into MHR.
I tried the other weapons but the Long sword is so much fun.
Good game, but play it when you're more in the mood for a visual novel type experience than a strategy game. It's both, but you'll spend much more time watching and listening to story cutscenes than fighting battles.

Just finished Ori and the blind forest on Switch. Great experience. I'm not sure if I should jump straight to WotW right away or play something else so I don't get burned.

Finished Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. It still is a great game but the last stretch feels rushed, like Silicon Knights just wanted to wrap it up. The final boss fight with Mortanius is a let down. In fact, the last bosses are let downs compared to the first half of the game, where you have fights against Nupraptor, Malek and the Druids, which was way more fun. The story and voice acting is great, and it's what's keeping me going back.

I never liked the sequels to this franchise. Soul Reaver was such a disappointment, and radical departure, from Blood Omen, and Raziel wasn't even in the same league as Kain. I remember being so hyped for the sequel, now on the Dreamcast, which back then was a powerhouse of a console. CD ran with the bad ending of Blood Omen, which could've provided another great adventure with Kain, but no, they fucked it up with mediocre story telling, weak characters and boring 3D platforming. What a fucking waste. Didn't even bother with the rest of the franchise after that turd.
