Black Friday 2022 |OT| Deals & Steals

I've been waiting for all of these to reach ~$20 or under:
  • OlliOlli World
  • Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom
  • KLONOA Phantasy Reverie Series
  • Madden NFL 23
  • Cyberpunk 2077
I've got a good amount of Xbox credit ready to go, so if these go on sale at good prices I'll probably pick them up.

That's it for me! And then some Christmas presents for the kid probably.

Looking for a gaming monitor now that my last one crapped out. Under $200 and at least 1440p/120hz. Got the Koorui 27E6QC and INNOCN 27G1R bookmarked now waiting to see if it drops even further soon all while looking for other monitors. Also officially on the the hunt for an nvme ssd for my PS5. Nothing special, just targeting 1tb, nothing more.

Is Black Friday still like the Purge in the US?

If so, how does US GAF go out on Black Friday? Do you go to the stores tooled up and ready to crack skulls for the best deals?

Anyway, I'm hoping PSN and Microsoft have some decent deals. Besides that, I might venture outside and do some clothes shopping. Got a work Christmas party in December and want to get some new sharp threads. Hopefully my local Hugo Boss store will have a sale.

It's still crazy, but less so than 3/4/5+ years ago because tons of sales have shifted online. There's not much reason to line up in-store anymore outside of a handful of exclusive deals and/or if you're not tech savvy.

Meta will bundle Resident Evil 4 and Beat Saber with Quest 2 starting at $350 for a limited time.

The discount kicks off officially starting Black Friday, November 18, at “participating locations while supplies last.” The $350 price is for the 128GB base model Quest 2 headset while the 256GB model starts at $430.

That's a great deal--baseline Quest 2 starts at $400 now, and throwing RE4 into the mix as well is fantastic.

I know Nintendo doesn’t usually do sales but I wouldn’t mind grabbing a cheap digital copy of Splatoon 3

Black Friday 2022 is on the way. What do you guys want to get deals on this year?

For me I’m hoping to get a good deal on another dualsense controller and will probably upgrade some of my movies from 1080p Blu-ray to 4K Blu-ray if prices are cheap.

Also feel free to share any deals that you come across.
I got a Nintendo Switch + Mario Party Superstars with 33% off, around 240dlls, there were a few deals at Amazon Mexico

The deal begins online on November 16th at 9pm ET and November 17th in-store. Considering the current-gen console is celebrating its second anniversary this month, that’s a pretty solid discount. Notably, this is $70 in direct savings on the console itself; there isn’t a free game thrown in like the same Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle Nintendo has offered for the last several Black Fridays.

The Series S is the most entry-level current-gen box, supporting all of the same games as its more powerful sister console, the $599 Series X, at the same frame rates but at a lower resolution. The only other difference is that the Series S lacks a disc drive, so it can only play digital media. And hey, with this price drop, the Series S is only slightly more than PlayStation’s $269 DualSense Edge controller. Best Buy will also offer the Series S at a discount, although it will cost slightly more than Walmart at $319.99.

Best Buy Canada also will have a discount but it's only $60 off instead of $70.

Microsoft must have produced a crap ton of Series S for the holidays for all these store discounts and mobile carrier partnerships.

They must have see some high potential numbers last holiday season and want to make sure there's more than enough Which for the S is pretty easy, too bad the X can't be produced in such a large number but I'm sure they have a lot of those ready for the holiday too.

But $70 is pretty big, I doubt they'll be raising the price after this unless they want the console to die. I expect a raise back to regular price or an official price cut to $250-$269 ww for the S.

but but but they said they dont have enough for holiday :(

jk, good for them if they are able to generate profit at that price.
If they want to push the console and are thinking about getting their money back later then ... hope it works out for them.
If it would to xbox one x settings it wouldve been way more interesting for me.

does it play the xbox backcompat games at 4k120?

its MS. They go and make a good console, just for them to go back 2 steps behind.
Its one thing I hate about them.

XSS should have been mini X1X.

Fantastic little console. Quiet as fuck too.
I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to get into next gen gaming on the cheap.
Its really an amazing console and people just do not see it. especially as a secondary console to go along with the PS5 or PC. its really a must-own system.

I have a high end PC with a 4090 . but guess what I have in the living room? yes... an Xbox series S. it plays family games all fine. my son plays fortnight on it. what I can ask for more? and I am hiding it behind the TV. I almost don't remember iit exists if not for the controllers.
