I’m a console gamer but many of my favorites are PC classics. Modern PC gaming is just upressed console ports, sex mods, indies galore, and technical issues. Back then PC was its own thing.

Wow, SOCOM made your list, eh? It's probably the best multiplayer game I can think of. Making a top 10 is too difficult for me.

I'd have Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger, Xenoblade, OoT, Radiant Historia, TLOU, SOCOM, BotW, Xenogears, Mark of Kri, Eternal Darkness, so many more to mention!

Fuck yea! Nothing will ever top it. I played it for a spell during Covid, now people have worked out how to get the servers working again, and it still holds up.

Let me cheat by giving two lists, both no particular order:

Amount of hours I put into them:

1) Tetris DS (hours and hours on the toilet due to this game)
2) Phantasy Star Online (Let's see, Dreamcast version, Gamecube version, then PC - roughly 200+ hours each, possibly more)
3) Monster Hunter Rise (Slowly reaching PSO levels of gameplay)
4) Final Fantasy Tactics (PSX, PSP, Android, over and over and over again)
5) Ikaruga (Proud achievement was ranking 21st in the world in Prototype mode for the Gamecube ranking system)
6) StarCraft (Don't get me started...)
7) Marvel vs Capcom 2 (I failed one semester of college because of this game)
8) Zelda Breath of the Wild (masterpiece, love it, can't wait for 2)
9) Doom (original) (probably quintuple dipped on the original. Plus with mods, it just doesn't end)
10) Romance of Three Kingdoms X (it's just numbers... just numbers and stats... why is it so fun???)

Games that just make me happy to be a gamer:

1) Mega Man Legends 1 (I love the Megaman series so much, GIVE ME 3 CAPCOM!)
2) Phantasy Star 4 (see username)
3) Cave Story (first taste in indie games and it's FREE? It's made by ONE PERSON?)
4) Suikoden 1 (Just love every single character in this game. I know many love 2 more, but 1 still holds a special part in my heart)
5) Ace Combat 5 (Was pleasantly surprised to find myself loving Ace combat sims. This one had a decent story too)
6) Mega Man X4 (Always love popping this one in)
7) Dragon Spirit (NES) (awesome music, fun to play, my childhood)
8) Metal Gear Solid 4 (I cried so many times playing this game for the first time)
9) Castlevania Symphony of the Night (I love this game so much)
10) Dark Cloud 2 (so many hours into this game too - so many things to do, take pictures, make inventions and weapons, go golfing... etc.)

Can't keep it to 10 - but Fallout 3 and Deus Ex in one of those lists too - if i think any longer, i'll probably just add more so i'll stop there.
