Popular leaker “The Snitch” has teased yet another announcement that will be made in the near future. On Twitter, The Snitch posted an image of San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. The image is seemingly a nod to the Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores DLC taking place in these locations. Personal guess is that it will be announced at The Game Awards this Thursday.
The Burning Shores is mentioned by name a couple of times throughout Horizon Forbidden West. It’s referred to in Gildun’s diary as being south of the Spinebreak and was referenced by Brin as being the “place of flames and brine”.

Players who attempt to explore further south are currently told to “Turn back” as it’s likely this is the new location for the DLC.

Some players have managed to get a closer look using their Sunwing, which looks like there’s a replica of the arched Memorial Bridge near Las Vegas, Nevada; as well as potentially the Hoover Dam.

Insider Gaming understands that the new Horizon Forbidden West DLC “Burning Shores” will release in April 2023.

I didn't play the dlc for the first one, was it just a new location or gameplay changes too?

Horizon 2 was good but I don't think I need more of it.

If there's one thing I didn't feel I needed more of right now, it's Horizon.

The thought of this, the VR game, the MMO, the rumored HZD remake, the TV show, and the inevitable third game is just exhausting to be honest.

Yeah, sad to say I'm kind of feeling the same way. They really let me down a bit with the story in HFW. I hope the DLC introduces new tech that pushes the PS5 console at least.

It was a full on game with a great story and new area about an AI computer in Yellowstone park. It introduced a rather dumb mechanic about towers that healed the machines in an area. I did not like the healing tower ting.

Finished the first game, but never finished the sequel. Elden Ring released too close, Horizon got dropped like a hot take and I never was interested enough to go back to it.

Fine, just...go play something else, then?

I don't see why you're complaining; they wouldn't be doing this if there wasn't demand from other people interested in these additions to the IP.

Not finished with the main game yet, on the last stretch, and even though I'm enjoying it immensely I don't think I will return for the DLC. Felt the same way about Ghost of Tsushima, haven't touched Iki Island yet (and presumably never will).

No gameplay changes. Just a new area with some decent storytelling and new weapons that made it feel more like a shooter.

If GG cancels the last gen version and releases this as a next gen only title with next gen SSD features and better AI and simulations then fine. But if its more of the same then its a needless release considering there is literally 70 hours of boring side quests in this game already. No one asked for more of the same.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
What happened to that Horizon 1 Re-make/master ?

I've found that I have a hard time getting excited for DLC anymore. It is like mentally I'm "done" with the game and moved on. Can't generate any interest in going back.

I want more of the same, its DLC not a new game.

And of course it is for last gen also, imagine the uproar if they made this DLC next gen only.

Thanks Sony!!! That’s exactly what we wanted a DLC for one of the worst games you’ve released this gen.
Pls keep up the good work. I’m so not hyped!

One of the worst games, still among Top 5 selling in NPD year-to-date not counting the bundles.

One of the worst games, still among the best-looking games on the market.

One of the worst games, yet still being played by a lot of people (including myself).

You have to be digging deep up the bunghole in order to pull out a take that shitty 🙄

I’m offering my input on a discussion board. Because that’s literally what discussion boards are for.

And I offered my opinion on your input on a discussion board. Because that's also what discussion boards are for.

Yeah open world games are tiring I did the same for the Witcher 3 but can't wait for the new update

Yeah, I will dump 300 hours into a Monster Hunter game in the first 3 months. Then I'm done. I don't go back for the expansions and relearn all of it when there's so many games out.

I'll play the Splatoon 3 expansion and that's probably it.
