Atlus, the Japanese publisher behind Persona and Shin Megami Tensai, has said it has several unannounced games planned for reveal during 2023.

The message was shared in a New Year greeting card published by Famitsu.

“Thank you very much for your support for the remastered versions of P4U2 in 2022, 13th Machine Defence Circle for Nintendo Switch, Soul Hackers 2 and Persona 5 The Royal,” the greeting reads.

“In 2023, we will start with the release of P3P and P4G remastered versions, and we are also preparing several unannounced new titles. Please look forward to it!”

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Always nice to hear about Atlus. Hopefully those unannounced new titles are closer to SMT V rather than Soul Hackers 2, a game I still have to try but heard it's kinda meh.

Is it too soon for P6? I know the Persona series creator is on Project Re:Fantasy, so would they have enough resources for both games?
Re Fantasy is handled by a seperate, smaller studio, so the Persona team isn't impacted really and vice versa. Re Fantasy has been in the works since....2016? With P6 seemingly starting in 2018. I think they are fine in that regard.

Honestly with how packed 2023 is, it might be wise to push one of those projects back to 2024; I want Re:Fantasy to succeed and not be another hidden gem. Persona will do well regardless.

Don't worry Atlus i will very much be looking forward to it! No need to say please.

I'm going to buy P4G on Switch. Still not decided on P3P. I mean sure it's probably worth picking up but I will probably just play FES on my PS2 again.

Why not bring FES over too? Also have they forgot about Persona 1 + 2? Even a simple ass straight port would make me happy. Doesn't need to be a full on remake.

Hoping SMTV is ported to PC. It's fine on Switch but won't say no to playing it in 4K 60fps.

And of course there is Persona 6. Surely they have to reveal it this year??? If they want to put out another P5 game I won't be mad!

Looking forward to it. They have a lot of stuff that they still need to bring to modern systems.
I had pretty low expectations for Soul Hackers 2 going into it but it managed to be even worse than what I was expecting.

Looking forward to what they do next but the way they handle releases makes it hard for me to get excited about their announcements.

A P6 announcement would mean I probably have to wait a year or more for it to come out and then another 2 years for the improved version of the game because I don't want to buy and play it twice

I gave up after 20 hours of Persona 5 Royal. So repetitive, so boring. Hopefully it is not Persona.

They probably forgot that they once announced Project Re:Fantasy as well.

I think we will get some remasters (first Personas or DDS) and maybe a SMT V apocalypse like release? With similar assets to V but new story. And I think we will see something around Persona 6 or project Fantasy but won't release this year.

This is the first time I’ve seen the opposite of switch port begging. Atlus needs the sales from the switch base
Eeee no. Persona proves the opposite, it's just a little more caviar at this point on the actual Switch. PS, SX and PC are just enough (till switch 2 in 2 or 3 years). I really want them to update their engine. All their games from the last decade are made with PS3 tech in mind... It was okay on PS4, it's not anymore!

Maybe we will be lucky and there will be a Persona Q3.
At this point, all hopes are allowed... but keep in mind it's Atlus we are talking about. We have not seen PS1 on PS2 remakes on anything than PSP... And Shin Megami Tensei should have come to other platerfoms.

And I would love a new sequel to Matrimelee, or some ports of the whole saga. Atlus was so great with 2d fighting games, better than SEGA!

Damn didn't realize it was so long ago. Re Fantasy must be close to done by now (and cross gen for sure in the tradition of Atlus games being one of the holdouts on a last gen platform).

What about persona proves they need a new engine? You must be new to megaten/persona, it’s about gameplay with these games.

Sweet. Persona 5 reimagined, Persona Royal Royal HD, and Persona Royal Royal version full price Royal HD Remix remaster. All full price with absolutely no free upgrades whatsoever.

Fuck them.

Port all the old Etrian Odyssey games to pc and continue the series there. Just have auto mapping for console ports for walls and allow editing. You don't need two screens they can click a button.
