Looks like a fun game, but average? The vampire designs don't look too good, the weapon designs look interesting though. So is this a coop shooter or is it going to be GaaS? The randomized dungeons is a nice feature, could do wonders for the game's longevity.

Apparently the Vampires have stolen all the shadows.

Also the youtube trailer is being dislike bombed:

Arkane is doing what they know to do. Compelling gameplay above graphics.

The problem with these trailers is they need to do the stupid cinematic panning where they move the camera very slow to no get the spectator lost and make the game seems really slow when in reality is quite different. It already happened with Dishonored and Deathloop, this is no exception.

the previews and vids have done nothing for me. But for some reason i feel like this games gonna be fun. I like the Dishonored games, Prey was cool. Deathloop was alright-ish

Game looks awesome as always. Can't wait to play it.

Respectfully, Forspoken doesn't compare to anything Arkane has ever made or will made.
Agreed. Arkane is in my favorite tier with Insomniac and comparing any of their products to Forspoken is a huge stretch. People can like what they like certainly but this seems like a reach.

I think it looks interesting, apart from the weapons. I know there are special types but most just look like generic modern real world guns. Seems like a missed opportunity. Especially with Arkane's creative minds behind the project. Made it look a little boring

I was already excited for the game well before this, but today's showing was way beyond anything I had been expecting. It looks like a potential GOTY quality title. I was that impressed by what I saw today.

The world design and art, the gameplay, atmosphere, the vampire enemy designs and abilities, the guns, the special effects. Arkane are really so fucking talented. Lovely environmental storytelling.

It will be a damn good game.

Game looks fucking awesome! I want them to go crazy with the weapons and powers tho. Hopefully there's a large selection.

Game will be perfect for Gamepass

Still not sure how much fun the combat and bosses will be in singleplayer. But the world and abilities look like a lot of fun to explore. Looking forward to jumping in!

I can't wait for the game but some people are right, shooting looks off and they have to fix that in a damn shlooter.

I rewatched the presentation a few times and it's not as bad as I first thought, but they still need to maybe work on the mixing for some of the guns. Some of them actually sound good, and the enemies absolutely do flinch at bullets - they don't seem to flinch during "alerted" animation, and there is definitely an internal cooldown, but in all the encounters with spongey enemies, they are flinching at being shot.

I'm also not a fan of hipfiring weapons as a matter of course, and that video was all hipfire for the most part. Just feels amateurish. This is definitely one that is going to take some in hand previews to ease some of the nervousness about the combat.

. . .I also want to see more of the immersive and emergent gameplay. They talk about "different approaches" to encounters as with their previous games, but they go guns blazing in every combat encounter (I'm guessing in that one with the exploding bodies, they could have entered through the ground floor, but the game still "beginners trapped" them with an enemy from behind).

I had faith in Arkane but this showing has me convinced this game is gonna deliver.

They have got atmosphere and feel for a vampire game right. Especially those Vampire nests look awesome. Their environmental storytelling is on point.

Now I just wanna see what all options i get in skill tree. Hopefully that will allow for emergent gameplay.

My problem is not with hit reaction but how light the bodies look, there is no sense of weight when they go down, they look like they are made of paper, it's hard to explain what i meant.
To understand what i meant, try fear 1 and then Try deathloop.

And this was a problem with deathloop aswell.

The strange thing is that i could swear dishonored and dark messiah were better in this sense, i loved killing stuff in those games or using powers to manipulate bodies.

Paper light enemies is something that i deeply hate in any game where you kill stuff.

Ask me about my wife's perfect butthole
Greatly looking forward to this one.

I hope it has crossplay, or at least eventually does.

If it doesn't that sort of takes the wind out of the sails for me; my wife prefers playing games on console, and I prefer PC.. so when we can play together across platforms that's a big win.

This game is right up my alley. "Open world" seems a bit linear but then again we haven't seen much. Beautiful environment, love the art style and shooting feels organic. Oh and the a proper skill tree? Yeah gimme

It has potential. I've read you can play solo and without Bots so it might be interesting. I really hope it has "atmosphere" that keeps me interested in the world.

Looks better and better with every showing. Good deep dive video with lots of good gameplay footage. I hope nothing else releases during this window, like Lies of P or Lord's of the Fallen, because then I have to put Redfall on the back burner.

Yeah I hated to post this guy but only one I saw showing his invite to this event

I love how they invite guys like this to private events yet Xbox brass say they hate console wars
Definitely. Why can't they just find regular guys and girls to show gameplay. I'd rather they invited a random redditor then did an AMA with them.

I'll deffo be playing this as well

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Is this new? Just seems like it'll be easier to just say Console and PC are cross-play compatible. Listing it out like that seems like it's a bigger deal than it is.

I don't do enough dedicated gaming on PC to know if most Steam/EGS games are cross play with each other. But the cases where a game pass PC and Steam version are cross-play compatible are rare. Good to know for people who may have friends in different eco-systems I guess.
