So you are saying that an interview where sad pathetic MS fanboys and/or incompetent people took the wrong message from it and thought that it somehow meant all games from PS5 launch date would be PS5 only. I've shown you the full message and it was with the lesser publications that began the we believe in generations trash off trolls on the website.

What did Ryan say in the start of that video (Futuee of Gaming PS5) other than a generational leap in how games look, sound and feel. Which is fucking true. 😂

You were either fooled by trolls and didn't bother looking it up yourself or you can't comprehend what people actually say and what it means.
Blame Sony for intentionaly hiding the fact that Horizon FW and GT7 were cross gen for 4 MONTHS AFTER THE SHOW CASE! Did they bother to come out and to correct the countless articles about Sony showing next gen games? At the same time MS was being dragged over the internet for releasing cross gen games. Sony's marketing knew what they were doing. Less not revison history now. No shame doiung that seconds after Jim Ryan made that quote.

If the increased communication isn't coming with new game trailers/previews/demos then I don't care

Are there not ps5 versions of the games revealed on the June 2020 showcase? It's not revisionist when I quoted the article from May 2020, before the Horizon and GT7 reveal. The PS5 wasn't released when they announced the PS4 versions. It could have been worse, they could have released a console with no first party games.

Sorry that people shat on your console of choice buddy for daring to release cross gen games. Little did we know that it should have been shat on at the time for not releasing first party games, not cross gen.

One company said they had next gen games coming when they had cross gen games coming. The other said they had cross gen games coming when they had no games coming. They both said these half truths while vaguely alluding to each other. A few years later it's still re-litigated and in keeping with the theme of the thread, the hit dog will holler.

You play video games or CEO interviews on YouTube? If the first is true, you like Sony and Nintendo if you like the second then you like Xbox.

We believe in generations is probably the most

misconstrued quote of this gen so far

The quote needs context otherwise it doesn't make sense. Getting a new controller, New UI something new for the players is what that quote actually meant.

Maybe it was a dog at Xbox for reusing the same controller and UI? Who knows but it wasn't about not having cross gen games

It's true the quote had nothing to do with the situation. It's just a mantra now for people who want to revise the history and not let it go.

I just dont get why sony was so sneaky regarding cross gen. Like okay, god of war and horizon were also going to be ps4 games…but why not say that when the games were announced? For gt i understand that the shift to cross gen happened some time in 2021, so that i get.

Sony's messaging with cross-gen or this gen has been an absolute mess. It has been so confused that they actually announced Demon Souls Remake as a console exclusive coming to PC and GT 7 as a PS5 exclusive in their trailers. It is as if no one really had a clue what platforms those games were actually going to be on.

Not really a surprise. PR at Sony has always been a disaster.

I think their PR was good last gen

That this is how we trade our games video was a genius move, a real checkmate

Eh they really aren't that open at all...

PR people will say PR things.

Nothing any of these companies are saying aren't being done so because of the kindness in their hearts.

You are hearing what they want you to hear. Just because it's negative or "open" statement doesn't mean it wasn't pre-calculated to be exactly what you needed to hear according to the company

Case In point... Microsoft are a locked up vault when it comes to discussing sales and number of copies/consoles sold.
