Not enough launch games, my arse!
No Money Confused Travolta GIF

These are pretty much old regurgitated games that most vr players have already tried or don't want to try. Let's not make it out like Sony just announced full playble games of gow and ratchet in vr.

The launch is in very good shape overall with horizon and gt7, but let's not overstate the reality of what's out there.

Astrobot needs to be ported, best VR game created.

I feel like Sony has legit no freaking clue what they have with Team Asobi.

AstroBot VR should've been the game for PSVR and most people never heard of it. Then instead of a new game they let them make a (excellent) pack-in controller demo. And now with PSVR2 launching an update and/or sequel of AstroBot VR is nowhere to be seen.

Ridiculous.

Yes lets imagine that everyone that buys a PSVR2 already used vr before. Im sure there’ll be a bigger percentage of new players than already experienced

I seriously doubt that, many of them will own or have owned a quest and or a psvr1. You make it sound like they are buying a controller or something. Psvr2 at this price point appeals to a very specific customer, and it's not "people who never tried vr" before.

Seriously. I still plan to get one eventually, but an Astrobot sequel would have caused me to pre-order to have a set day one.

I feel like those wanting Team Asobi to make a full PS5 game like Astro's Playroom, just never had the chance to play Rescue Mission. As cool as that would be, it pales in comparison to Astro in VR.

In fact, it might sound odd, but I've found third-person VR games much more enjoyable than first-person. A lot of people seem to believe VR is only for FP games. Those people need to play Rescue Mission.

PSVR 2 will be my 1st VR headset and these are the games I'm excited for so far

Horizon Call of the Mountain
Star Wars
Secret of the Garden
Resident Evil Village
GT7
Kayak Mirage
Switchback
The Walking Dead Saints and Sinners II

This is better than some consoles imo

This scenario of yours does not match my own personal experience (I’ve played 3 of those games in VR in the list on PSVR), but thanks for your concern.

I've played 6 out of those (in VR), so 34 games at launch that I havent played in VR, seems pretty damn good to me and of the ones I have played some are getting updates (such as No Mans Sky).

And this is just launch, many more games are in development, also good that there are trials of the games, makes up for the lack of the demo disc idea from PSVR 1

But it is also just like already users. There’s not really a lower point of entry except for of course a quest 2, but then again, when people hear from all the other players the vr2 is a big deal they will also buy it. It’s not as expensive as buying a car or anything. The price trolling for this thing is through the roof but of course if you don’t care about quality there is a cheaper alternative, just like a Xbox series s.

There's enough games there to satisfy anyone ffs, c'mon let's be real that's a great line up of AAA's and Indie's and I'm sure Sony have a lot of surprises and in development games yet to announce, there's no way they're not remastering Astrobot or Wipeout(?) And who knows what negotiations are going on behind the scenes to get Alyx over or what other AAA games one of Sonys studios are working on.

I really hope VR games don't devolve into a bow and arrow peripheral. That's something too many devs seem to be doing.

Same, i haven’t used any VR before. I specifically told myself I’d wait for psvr2 before jumping in.

And people going on about Astro Bot should remember that Rescue Mission wasn’t a launch title for PSVR either. It came 2 years after the headset launched.

I bet you that's not necessarily true, i have never had VR and this is my first one - PS has access to a larger audience that is outside the PCVR echo chamber.

Maybe only the meta quest has similar reach but i wouldn't be surprised if half of PSVR2 adopters are new to VR.

We'll see, hopefully get stats in the next fiscal review in 2024

I hope they announce some full length, AAA games for this one. Been here before with the last first PSVR, amazing games for an hour or two then never touched them again after that. GT7 and RE8 aside, nothing in this line-up looks any different for me personally. The Kayak game is one I like the look of but again, I know exactly what will happen with that, I'll put it on, be blown away, then realise there isnt anything to it after the initial wow factor and i've seen all the areas for an hour or so.

I love VR but damn I want them to make some proper 30 hour experiences with some depth to them. Hopefully by the time they do, it will be a bit cheaper. I did preorder it but I cancelled it after seeing the finalised line-up and seeing that none of the 30 odd games I bought for the first one will work on it. If I hadnt bought the first one I would be all over this, first time VR players are gonna be astounded by it. I know y'all will get your pitchforks out on me over this post lol

You’re entitled to your opinion but i want 30 hour vr games even less than i want 30 hour regular flat games

Yeah I held off too and the jump in fidelity alone is huge. I can already tell it's gonna be an amazing experience

Don't get all salty now because you repeated something without thinking it through.
okay bud. Have fun with these groundbreaking titles, which you literally cannot wait to play only you have voluntarily not played them when they were already out
