This is like one of the comparisons dumb fanboys post on twitter.

Great news, can't wait to be able to sink my teeth into something as expansive as a Bethesda single player RPG in a truly next gen setting, we just haven't had that sort of scale for a next gen game yet.
Will probably take up years of my life.
Hopefully Gamepass owners will get a season pass option like FH5 where you get early access.
Only retards and fanboys pay for a game when they have already paid a subscription fees and one week later they will get the game as part of the service they have paid. And only people who suck Phil cock ask to get the "opportunity" to have paid early access to a game that will come to Gamepass.

I am none of the above and I buy the premium release of games that are coming to Gamepass when I know I will want all the DLC and show the Devs my love and support which I will do for Starfield and the next Forza just to name a couple.

They should offer the early access pass for all the big games. There is that subset of users that will pay to have early access, might as well take advantage of that.

I'll be waiting for the standard release day.

I appreciate that

I just hear if it gets pushed for this fabled June release its coming in a mess much like a Cyberpunk repeat

Will it shocked me MS releases it and lets us all beta test it and work out the bugs?

Nope

I mean come on with the comparison of these games

I have been wrong before not a huge deal to me either way honestly

I stopped sharing most of what I am told because it seems to really upset people when you do repeat something and it doesn't happen

And 99% of what I have been told I wouldn't repeat openly anyhow though have shared receipts with the mods here

I'm excited, but only because at worst this game will be at least good. I don't think it's going to be this revolutionary game or even the best game this year. But if I'm proven wrong then I'll be gladly so.

Also I play on pc where mods will extend the life of the game and fix what Bethesda either won't or like usual take too long to.

Yes please. This year is already stacked with RE4, TOTK, D4, and FF16 but I would love for Starfield to be amazing.

I long waited for a Sci Fi game exactly like this and the quality of a top studio behind it. I enjoyed Fallout 4 too. I don't want to meme too hard on the shortcomings, but I enjoyed it and that is what I hope for Starfield + a little bit more/evolved and modern.

what still impresses you about it?

i tried playing it again years ago but it felt so dated. i never got to play the DLC and couldn't bring myself to play through it again. i dont think it has aged well at all.

I should have said I'm playing on the Nintendo Switch. I'm still impressed by the narrative, all the dialogue. The little details NPC's talk about. I also think that the atmosphere is still one of the best. The ost is legendary, even more so since the anniversary pack. The art direction is timeless. We can say anything about Bethesda but there's a reason why people still play their game a decade after release. Meanwhile almost every other RPG are almost instantly forgotten.

Maybe you should give the game another try. There's something they definitely got right with Skyrim. It's the fun factor from minute to minute gameplay. It's rewarding and fun to explore because of the many characters you get to meet. Some quest line are genuinely surprising even for today's standards.

Wow so we have news this week for two heavy hitters due to release in June. With the amazing things we're hearing about FFXVI, I hope Starfield can deliver with the next gen goodness as well.

I think Starfield will be fall 2023. Microsoft like to release their biggest games in October and November. With redfall and some 3rd party gamepass games covering summer, it makes no sense to rush the game out.

A delayed game can eventually be good, a rushed game will be cyberpunked forever.

Lol FACTS!!!

Give them all the fucking time they want. This year is so packed, I don't care if it gets pushed to 2024...I care that its good period and working as they conceptually intend.

They need to go hard with the next trailer, cause so far I haven't been terribly impressed.

I agree. I love the spaceships and all that, but on the ground it looks like a generic shooter. That's never been Bethesda's way. Even with Fallout and the VATS system they added something to make it more interesting. That's what I want to see.

Truth.

I was really, really fucking hoping to see some VATS type thing in that gameplay reveal lol

Stop playing video games. Go to therapy. Meet people. Explore the universe.

I was excited to hear about an Open World Sci-Fi Rpg made by Bethesda, but they made it look as dull as possible. When I think of Starfield I think of White, Gray and Brown. I've been a broken record about this, but all they had to do was mix Skyrim and Mass Effect and they would've had gold. When you look at Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, part of what makes those games fun are it's setting and lore. The setting they seemed to have set up for Starfield so far seems as dull as dishwater. No Galactic Civilization, no diverse set of cool Alien races, just a bunch of running around in an astronaut suit with generic looking guns, shooting at robots and space dinosaurs. Granted we've only seen a piece of the game, but if that last trailer was suppose to be their big reveal and our first impression of it, it looks fucking lame.

Well it's Sunday, one day down, 6 more to go to see if it'll happen this week.

If this is true, and Redfall is out in May though it may be a bit early to do the showcase. Maybe do it late march imo so you can build hype that will keep strong until the marketing blitz in may-june.

tbh, you don't know all that.

For all we know, those elements you believe are not in the game, are part of its surprise when you experience it yourself. Think about it like this, when we meet some Alien race for the first time in real life, it will be a pretty shocking, world changing event.

If that happens in the game for real, why ruin the surprise by telling you ahead of time? So I for one love how Terminator 2 was marketed, I love how MGS2 was marketed and I love how The Last Of Us 2 was marketed. Gaming and many mediums have this issue of generally never shutting the fuck up and by the time you play the game majority of it isn't a shock or surprise and its hard to convey those ideas.

So I get how you feel about this Mad, maybe it doesn't have Aliens or maybe it does they've done a wonderful job at merely not saying that to allow you to genuinely believe that so you are able to have a real, wonderful surprise that mimics how that might feel in real life for the big reveal.

Food for thought.

From the studio who hasn't made a great game since 2011. I hope I'm wrong and the game gives you those launch day Skyrim vibes, the kind of game where you actually want to talk to people in Gamestop about it because you are so blown away.
