PlayStation VR2 |OT| I heard it has a single cable. Is this true?

Yeah but then he
Yeah but then he drones on about the lineup and I’m just like really dude? I’m drowning in content
The problem is that he have other VR headset and a very good PC. He have already played most games. So he is considering that to say the lineup is bad. What about us or the people who don't have a VR? Don't have a high end pc? Maybe a decent PC with a Quest 2? I don't own or haven't owned any VR headset never... is the lineup bad for me? Should someone say to me don't get one now because the lineup is weak? I don't take that as valid or fair point of view

Even the exclusive lineup is great - RE8, GT7, CoTM are not on other platforms

Add in dramatically better playing versions of most things (S&S especially), and it’s a great lineup.

Hardly nobody has a 4090 and the most expensive headsets.

I really feel like these people need to be a little more objective with their comments

Wasn't expecting to play S&S1 all night be here we are. Game is surprisingly addictive.

The original announcement made it sound that way, but their most recent tweet about it labeled it as "VR Mode", which is exactly what they call it in RE8.
What tweet was this? I searched but couldn't find anthing.

Meh

A lot of really bad takes in this, guy seems like a bit of an insufferable sperg tbh

Not everyone wants to tinker with a lot of crap just to get VR going

It generally knows what he's talking about. I watched that yesterday though, and he's really harping on how it makes him motion sick. Goes on to say he went to Reddit and found it was widespread, and then to explain that it must be fine for new VR users but experience VR users are more likely to get sick and try to find ways to explain it, etc. It came off as a stretch, really.

Then we should do a poll here. Do you feel or have you felt motion sick?

Well there's a lot of variables like. Like it's really about motion sick compared to other headsets. And then your level of experience which would be less with previous headsets you tried.

I'm okay with a negative review. I just thought he was digging into reasons for the motion sickness without considering it might just be him and the thing don't get along.

Anyone playing GT7 with a Logitec G29? I'm looking for suggestions regarding the force feedback and sensitivity options in the pause menu. Would be great to see how people have this set up.

Played 2h in Synth Riders.
Very intense and exhausting title, but also probably the best rhythm game I've ever played. Damn, that’s something incredible. Every PSVR2 owner should try it.

Agreed. It’s probably one of my favourite games this whole gen, VR or no VR. It’s just crazy fun and addictive. The way the orbs match the music is perfect and gives each song its own personality.

MAN.............is synth riders really this good. Compared to Beat Saber and Thumper, how good is Synth Riders if you all had to rank them?

I dunno. I guess it depends on what you prioritize.

Obviously RE8, CotM, and GT7 look great - but they all try and achieve near current gen fidelity in VR and it ends up sacrificing playability and sharpness.

I think S&S prioritizes the right things. Sure, it doesn't have the fildelity, but the playability is so much better than the other games because I can play in it for hours and feel comfortable. CoTM and RE8 require more frequent breaks and it's always kind of "uncomfortable" due to the blurry nature of the movement and image.

I think I prefer what S&S is doing - Native 4K with 90 fps. Obviously sacrifices must be made but if I'

NO WAY! I look at it like 30fps and 60 fps in console gaming. 30 fps is fine and we need options for devs. I don't want every PSVR2 game to be forced to be 90fps.

I love his VR information, but he's not a console gamer. So of course PSVR2 isn't for him.

Here's the thing. It wasn't a negative review at all. I watched it too. He had some negatives and some positives. He's smart enough to know that some issues will come down to how the devs program their games too. He seemed to not mention that much, but he SHOULD know that by now.

I don't even think he's played GT7 yet, but he says Sony should stop devs from using 60 fps with reprojection. And that's silly. But he said alot of good things about the PSVR2 also.

Sorry, I've never played Beat Saber.
Thumper only on dualshock4, so can't compare.

Gt7 with a slow convertible car with my gaming setup and S&S chapter 1 and 2.
Tried kayak a bit in the pool and lowered the brightness to 50% right away. At 100% i felt it was to much brightness to me. The sweet spot i find is fairly easy. It's my first VR so idk if it's small. The setup was so easy and friendly. The controllers had 1 bar so put them to charge with the ps5. Will hit gt7 and S&S tonight. What charger is good? The collective mind? Is like out of stock right now but don't need it asap.

So it's been a couple hours and no word yet. You were pretty heavily involved in this thread but I didn't know you did not have one.

Just waiting for your GT7 reaction honestly. Oh and I've heard third party is way to go for charger, they supposedly have better magnets.

Man, I seriously hope Randy ports Borderlands 3 to PSVR2. I have a love/hate relationship with that franchise. Boy do I hate how they're written, but I won't deny that they're excellent time sinkers, and that while I didn't finish Borderlands 2 VR, I did play it for many, many, many hours.

Well, that ties back to the old "it's not exclusive" argument fan warriors do for years. Like Xbox/PC getting same day first party release dates. So if it's on PC (which everyone has at home), no need to get an Xbox and the Xbox version. Just stick with the PC version.

Now you know what it's like when most of the PSVR games are already on PC for years. Unless PSVR has tons of exclusive games not on PC, you're going to get the not exclusive argument for years.

So Ive run into a couple of problems. Nothing major and might just need tweaks on my end but with RE8 and TWD (just a little) it feels like my limbs are not synced up. I don't really know how else to explain it. It feels like my arms are shorter than they should be?

Scale is tripping you out. Idk if it's hard to get right or if developers mess with it for a reason. It's more often too small than too big.

Me in skyrim vr: "I guess we're all 4 feet tall and I'm okay with that."

I feel like it's a little on the small side in RE8. In GT7 is hard to tell. Might be a bit small, might be right on. There's no way to know for sure, of course.

Kayak is beautiful game. Incredible how it looks. Only tried the beach and such a relaxing game. Liked it. Now... GT7 i brought a Mazda and haven't seen anything yet until i hit the showroom in vr. I said holy shit... this is like real life. A cousin have one so i know the car and i couldn't believe it. I was looking at the car thinking is the same thing. I entered the car and my jaw drop seriously. Then i race at a france track is it? I have 1 week with gt7 so don't have all the tracks opened. When it entered in vr mode in the Mazda i hit the brake and i couldn't believe it. I was looking at everything and driving slowly. My brain thought i was there in the track. Now i don't even think of playing gt7 on flat screen ever again. I even played it with the dualsense and still was incredible. The sense of speed and seeing things you can't see on a flat screen. Amazing and unbelievable in psvr2. I forced myself to quit gt7 because wanted to try S&S chapter 1 and it's amazing too. Felt very smooth 90hz, crisp and clean image. Can wait to play more tomorrow of these 2 games. Gt7 i feel i could play it forever on psvr2 and don't have enough. Walking dead loving it too. I think this is the best way to start playing psvr2. A friend have my copy of re8 will have it by the weekend. I can't even imagine how it looks and scary is in psvr2. The cinema mode awesome too. Felt i was at the movies in Youtube. Tried to put the brightness at 100% but is too much for me. Didn't felt sick or nausea or anything. I tried smooth turning in walking dead and felt wierd... switched back to snap turning right away. The sweet spot is easy and the comfort is nice. Dosen't feel heavy or anything. Had to stop and go to sleep tomorrow but very impressed with psvr2.

Hell yeah this thing kicks ass. It's nice to get a new system with a stack of New games/best versions right from the go. I've only played 6 games so far and half have been top tier.

So after a few weeks now, what is everybody’s fave PSVR 2 game?
I’m going to go with 3 for the following reasons:

1. Fave sitting game - Moss - It could be S&S, but I haven’t finished it yet.
2. Fave standing game - Synth Riders - just pipped Pistol Whip for me in terms of time played, but I love both.
3. GT7 with a wheel. The best overall experience in VR for me.

Still have to try RE8, pavlov, light brigade, thumper, Rez Infinite and Pistol Whip. 😁

Beat S&S1 last night while waiting for my RE4 keys to be delivered (spoiler: the key didn't arrive until 6am this morning. Thanks GreenManGaming!). Really enjoyed my time with it overall. Only complaints are: 1. zombie spawns are a little overtuned. All you have to do is turn a corner and a bunch of them will spawn where you were a few moments ago. 2. NPC AI seems to break down pretty often. The final battle in my game was basically broken, with NPCs just standing at their spawns.
Aside from that, I had a great time scavenging, braining zombies, and decapitating NPCs who get in my way.
8/10

I wish so much Synth Riders had some sort of scoring system, or meta game. I guess it's nice it doesn't in a way, but for me I like rhythm games like THEATRHYTHM FINAL BAR LINE where you get some sort of score based on the amount of notes you got perfect/good/bad/miss, then it gives me a goal to hit, like all SSS on normal, all SS on hard, etc. I'm a little confused with Synth Riders because it doesn't appear to separate you scores by difficulty, so my Easy attempt got more points than my Normal attempt, yet I can't see what I scored on Normal to aim higher for next try, as it only shows my Easy score. Just feels like the record keeping/data keeping is really at a bare minimum level. Oh well! It's still fun, and I guess I can find a new way to make goals without any song ratings or single player content to play.

Demo for C-Smash got to put my hand thru the ceiling... and then immediately preorder the game.

Multiplayer worked flawlessly for me. Just wish I would have known to hold the R trigger to bring the ball to me, instead of jumping like a maniac to hit an overhead.

It's really good guys.
I liked it a lot too. Fun to play multiplayer and hopefully a cool single player mode!
