PlayStation Launching "Next Level Savings" Wednesday, May 13

Ah....it's just a yearly sale then? Hmm, well ok then.

Up to 75% is kind of intriguing, though. Had me like:

I didn't know this was upcoming and would have been pretty confused why there's no sales right now (so I'm glad you posted this). As well, it will be good to remember that this happens for next year and wait to buy anything I'm looking for. This, Black Friday, and Christmas/Boxing Day seem to be the best times to shop for digital only games and DLC that I'm interested in.

I am once again asking to not be the ONLY black guy at every single god damn TOOL/PUSCIFER/A Perfect Circle show.

I mean every single fucking time
You should check out this band called Cruel Curses - they may be up your alley.

Kinda like baby's first prog rock band.

Wooh! Exciting! I wonder how much the discount on this five year old game will be this time!!!

They fucking rob the EU with their non-discounted prices. Non-discounted Sony games are 80€ when on disc they are 70€. Also, who the fuck prices Baldur's Gate 3 at 70€ when on Steam it is 60€. And this +10€ non-discounted prices happen with almost every bigger game when Steam does not even have this shit. You also made another point, sale prices on Sony games suck too.

I've already achieved next-level savings by only buying things that I'm actually interested in.

If it actually comes out, I think the only game I'm going to buy this year is GTA VI.
I'm buying 5/6 games Day 1 and more on sale this year but I share your sentiment.

I don't get why people let their backlog reach hundreds of titles and still think they're saving my buying more every sale.

It took me 3 years but I've finally reduced by backlog from nearly 200 titles to about 2/3 games. No more bulk buying. If there's a game on sale I'm willing to play straight away I'll get it.

It's been like that for years, lowest price for BB and TOH is always 10 each, but the complete edition caps at 18, so that's your lowest discount if you don't own both

Oh I don't think I was clear. I meant $10 for the TOH Edition, ie the Base Game and DLC. But I'd agree they haven't priced it that low in some time.

I'm guessing that 'Next Level' means a predominantly DLC focus. They do that from time to time, and they're usually worse (as in more limited) than the regular sales.

But I think for the first time they cancelled all deals on PSS.
pretty sure you're correct. my theory? they know their 'sales' prices are shit, & they know that we know, & the only way to begin to make them look good is to remind us all how even more shit the non-sale prices of some of these older games are...

My old gent be like:

Holly fucking shit, Sony is evolving their sales programs what could come? 50% Yotei? 30% Saros?? Let's go!!!!

My old gent realizing "Next Level" is just the sales name:

75% discount on Indie title that was already on PSPlus

15% discount on the Ultra Deluxe Edition of God of War Ragnarok

I'm sure it'll be something decent, otherwise they'd really be shooting themselves in the foot with a title like "Next Level Savings". I'm expecting a few very good deals. The only question is whether this is going to become a permanent/regular program or just a one-off event.

As if you guys never saw a PS sale before. "Up to 75%" will be for the same old games from the PS4 era. No, DS2, MGS3, SH2, FS 2024, etc wont be 75% off.

Is this the summer sale? I think PSN's summer sales tend to be better than black friday.

Keeping my fingers crossed for 75% off on Demon's Souls, Spiderman Ultimate edition, Returnal, Tsushima, and Elden Ring GOTY edition

The crazies are saying gta 6 preorders are opening on the 12th so to clear the network bandwith Sony stopped psn sale altogether for a week.

It will just be the same games going on sale with the same discounts as on all their sales.

Kinda off topic but I keep getting notifications about Space Marine 2 (which is on my wishlist) being on sale. But it isn't actually on sale. Yet the price shows up as $66.99 instead of $69.99.
Is this the dynamic pricing in effect ?
