The "I'm tired of y'all being happy" is how I'd sum up how the midwit toxic positivity people lump together any opposition to games they want to just consoom.

People who hate everything are annoying, but the people who defend any mid to slop product are too + they encourage the industry's quality average to drop.

I've played every God of War, and I came away from this just apathetic. New character but the combat looks nearly identical except they brought back jumping and she can soul sling a dude...and then we got some lame ass cube named Frank.

Has it occurred to you that some of us actually think what you just explained looked incredible? It gets a little embarrassing seeing people say that game looked like slop. Like, come on, dog, it's okay to be apathetic, but let's not act as if people aren't allowed to like things that you don't.

But surly this works both ways. Let's not act like people aren't allowed to dislike things.

If you like what Sony is offering then good for you. I hope you have a blast with the finished game.

If you don't like what Sony is offering then congratulations. You've saved money not buying it.

However, both groups should be free to say if they're interested or not and discuss why.

I think this has gotten out of hand. If your opinion on the game is that you love the look of it then that's fantastic. If you don't like the look of it, that's fair enough. We all like different things.

No need for people to aggressively defend the game, or aggressively mock it either. Certainly no need to attack people for a different view point.

I have been called "clown" for liking RE9.

Apparently I have "low standards" for not liking same games as GAF does.

Clearly you didn't read the bottom of my post. Did you choose to edit that out in your response? I was in no way being serious.

It was very solid and satisfying. Sony seems to have found its path forward, and with some improvements, it could become something really great.

That said... I still miss the old format, like the pre-show conference style from E3 2016.

I think FFXV if fantastic and get clowned on all the time for it. I don't give a shit. We all like different things.

The game I was most hyped for from Sony's SOP wasn't God of War, Wolverine etc. It was the remake of Dynasty Warriors 3. Honestly, I'm more hyped for that game than GTAVI!

No. That was not intentional and I apologise for that. However, point still stands. Not against you personally, but really about how this God of War titles has caused outright conflict on Gaf. I don't think I've seen anything like it.

It's just a game. It's not that deep or important.

Has it ever occurred to you that my post never once mentioned you can't like the game? I'm only rejecting the framing from people that deflect criticism of it as just "hating other people's fun", and want to keep discourse positive because they personally like the game. It paints the criticism as spiteful/contrarian/reactionary, rather than having any genuine merit.

Cool thing about the mid to slop part, is this game isn't out yet, so that's only my impression of what they showed us. I thought the same thing about 007 First Light looking mid, but watching people play the final product on youtube improved my position enough that I'll pick it up at some point. Still think the talking jello cube is dumb on its face though.
 
i only like Onimusha, Ace Combat, and Dynasty Warrior 3R
I want to like Kemuri, but the trailer music irrating my ears : ))

I don't like this state much, beside all those game i mentioned.

I agree. The discourse around this game has been ridiculous. I have my theories as to why, but I'll keep that to myself.

I think the pacing of their shows could be a bit better. Content seems to finally be in a more stable state so pacing is the next big thing to get down. E3 and psx of 2016 nailed pacing to a t, and minus the cross gen fiasco (more the communication aspect of it), the first future of gaming show hit the same notes with the ps5 reveal/ games reveal.

Gaf can argue all they want, I go on what my non gamers friends say for the real mass audience, the types who will get fifa, mw4 and gta6

And they were all laughing at god of war Laufey, even sending the laundry memes

Most were indifferent to wolverine, very much a tepid response

What was interesting was the kick Rayman legends remake got, most didnt realise it was a remake even, I didnt expect that to get a positive reaction
