Atmosphere discovery makes Trappist-1 exoplanet priority in hunt for alien life

Now we know where Lil Uzi Vert came from.

Roughly 100 million people lived on his planet "XO" before it was threatened by a large meteor 2000 lightyears ago. The leaders of XO chose a few of their top citizens to board a ship towards various galaxies, and Uzi Vert's ship was destined for the Milky Way Galaxy. He was cryogenically frozen during his 2000 lightyear journey and didn't wake up until his ship landed on Earth, somewhere in America. He didn't speak the native language but after finding an MP3 player with the "Carter III" in a dumpster, he started listening to it as means to learn the English language. He took a liking to Lil Waynes rap, and truly related with Weezy on a personal level since they both are self proclaimed "aliens". Uzi Vert then changed his name to "Lil Uzi Vert" as tribute to Lil Wayne and to pursue his career in hip hop.

Now, Lil Uzi Vert still doesn't speak English very well so a lot of the words he speaks in his raps are mumbled, muffled, or straight up incoherent, but just know that he's doing the best he can, which is quite impressive considering he has only been on Earth for a couple of years. As for the lyrical content in his rap, you'll hear a lot of references to his past life on his former planet, which can be difficult for him to talk about but hip-hop is his outlet. His most recent rap reminisces about his life on XO, and how he has to come to terms with the fact that the meteor wiped out all of his family and friends back home. He looks to the stars and asks the heavens if his family is alright, but lets them know that he's alright. But ultimately he has to accept that all of his family and friends are, sadly, dead. They were left on XO to die and Uzi has lone survivor guilt. But he's going to make the best of it, one mumbled rap at a time.

I feel like there has been at least one horror book or movie like this, where a really slow expedition is sent. Then, years later, a faster ship is sent.

Eventually the original ship is close to arriving, but the faster ships discovered some horrible evil at the destination, and/or the origin world has been destroyed, and/or any manner of other horror has happened.
Whelp sans the horror this is the original guardian of the galaxy story..
Vance Astro was sent to aurian or something like this, and the trip was supposed to take x amount of years.. in tHe meanwhile faster ships are produced and the new ones arrive before Vance, who is hauled a hero anyway because committment and it would feel really bad to say thanks your late bye :)
