PC System Requirements by temporyal

Additional Info:

During the Open Beta our intent is to provide you with the kind of experience where you can focus on enjoying the sandbox. That means that we’ve made some adjustments to systems and features you’ll otherwise encounter in the full game, so you’ll find that we’ve pre-unlocked a wide selection of hardware (weapons, vehicles and gadgets) for you, and let you make the most of the time you’ll have with the Open Beta.

You’ll be playing Conquest on the map Orbital as one of 4 Specialists: Boris, Casper, Falck, and Mackay.

Im confused about their cross progression, does that mean if i buy the premium edition with early access on pc and standard on ps5 i can play the game earlier on ps5 as well?

As a reminder, we also have cross-progression functionality within Battlefield 2042, which will be shared across all platforms and travel with you wherever you go as long as you play on the same EA account. This means your unlocked progress and completed purchases in your PlayStation® copy of the game will carry over onto the Xbox or PC version, and vice versa.

For example, your new unlocked skin for your M5A3 assault rifle on PlayStation®, alongside your in-game progress such as Player Level and Mastery, carries with you if you now choose to jump into the action on Xbox Series X|S.

While there are a few limitations to cross-progression we want to make you aware of, such as Special Edition cosmetics, the Digital Artbook & Soundtrack, unspent Premium Currency and pre-order items not carrying over, we’re excited about giving you the freedom to play and progress wherever you choose to play.

Looking forward to trying this

COD beta was trash so its a for sure no go and shockingly surprised how much I loved this last Halo tech test so will see if BF can get some love from me as I have high hopes for it

Well CoD and Halo have both been absolute duds so lets hope 2042 delivers.

Otherwise Bloodhunt will do nicely. Almost level 100 in the battlepass and am still enjoying that loads.

I hate how convoluted EA have made their own pass program, are Xbox Gamepass people EA PLAY members?

For all these "Looks better" and "Looks more detailed" you people might now how dumb it is to freak out of ACTUAL ALPHA tests, the industry or at least Activision has shat in the waters of what an Alpha and Beta test means, they've made it just fancy words for "we want more demos to drum up sales", very few COD tests are actual betas and even fewer are genuine ALPHA. Calling a test an alpha or beta when it's actually more like the full game is marketing bullshit and it makes the dumb kids feel "cool" or some bullshit. Some of the early test builds of BF 2042 were literally just that TEST BUILDS, pre-alphas just things to show investors that shit works, and also to test various aspects, like networking.

TLCR(Too long Can't Read): Don't judge ALPHAS for graphics, don't freak out about ACTUAL ALPHAS, marketing has destroyed dumb gamer's minds.

I hope I have time to play the free beta. I have been and still am looking forward to this game, but I also can't shake the feeling that something is messed up with it because of the last minute but rather short delay. Some hands on time is warranted.

3600X min spec?

What the flex.
Thats a ton higher than playing on battlefield V.
A 3600X was good for 165hz gaming in BFV.
Its now min spec?

I wonder how my old builds Intel i7 3930k is going to fare.

Is it me or is the CPU requirements in the wrong side?

If the game is as multi threaded as the specs say it is.
Then you should be okay at rec spec honestly.

And its not backwards if the game is heavily multithreaded so the 2700X out performs the 3600 in the game.

NeonGhost

uses 'M$' - What year is it? Not 2002.
Anything we can unlock in the full game for Playing the beta?

Wow my CPU is getting up there, didnt expect to see it as a minimum requirement for a game. My gpu (2080s) still has some juice in it but might need to start thinking about upgrading my ryzen 5 3600 at some point

True. Because of how DICE uses hardware, they are one of the few teams that ACTUALLY do crossgen titles, so I expect those requirements are not fluff and legit to what they have planned for next gen as their engines are demanding. This doesn't change that much of what my build is going to be, but it gives me a good idea of what will likely be the recommended going forward.
