Can anyone tell me what hardware Virtua Fighter was running on?

New arcade hardware running a 5090, that's why Jensen showed up in the direct.

It's very strange since the TGA 23 announcements that Sega games don't show the platform they will be on.

Geoff did mention at the beginning that he went to various developers to see if they could preview their titles from "2025 and beyond". I just figured it's so far out that the info isn't prepared yet. Much like a lot of the reveals didn't even have a final title.

This is possible because modern arcade hardware is basically PCs, its most powerful arcade board is outdated, it uses a gtx 1070 something very close to the xbox series S. The 2005 Lindbergh arcade used a high end gpu, the GeForce 6800, maybe that's it the reason the nvidia guy remembers.
Virtua Fighter can also use features like Physx and Path Tracing.
we are talking about a gpu demanding game, for comparison Tekken 8 runs at 720~1080p on xbs, I can assume this wouldn't support VF6 without a downgrade, steamdeck aka switch 2 wouldn't either.

Unless stated otherwise, anything realtime you see will most likely be 4090. Or 5090, if they already have one. There was a trailer last night that even said ~"running on yet to be announced rtx gpu".

Time is the master of destiny, whether it's tomorrow or a month from now or even a year from now, at some point Sega will need to say hey, come play JSR and Virtua Fighter here.

Sonic Crossroads you already know where you will play - switch, xbox one, ps5 etc-
you just don't know where you'll play VF, Crazy Taxi, Project Century and Golden Axe. Yes, there are 7 Sega games that have been announced that are not listed on any known platform. :messenger_winking:
