In a roadmap shared with investors on Monday, the Polish company confirmed plans for a new “premium, multiplayer PVE tactical-shooter”, codenamed Project Scorpio.

CI’s internal Underdog Studio – the team behind the Ghost Warrior series – will lead development on the live ops title, which it says will be supported in the long term post-launch.

The company said its popular Sniper Ghost Warrior series would continue via a new partner studio, which will work alongside Underdog so that it can continue the series whilst developing its GaaS title.

CI reiterated its plans to bring a new IP into the survival genre, with ‘Project Survive’ already in development using Unreal Engine 5. The creative and project management team are collaborating with an external partner studio, Batfields, which is the Czech studio behind the Dead Effect games.

Finally, CI declared its long-term goal to broaden its portfolio with new franchises. In August, CI announced Lords of the Fallen, a reboot of the dark fantasy action-RPG released in 2014.

“Over the last three years CI Games has gone through a major change, transitioning from a Polish centric operation to become a developer and publisher with a truly pan European management and team structure,” said Group CEO Marek Tyminski in a prepared statement.

“With our evolved global strategy and roadmap focused on premium console and PC content we are ensuring continued success and future growth for the business. We look forward to further developing both new and existing IPs, while also diversifying our portfolio into other exciting areas of entertainment.”
