This year is very solid in terms of 3rd party publisher games. What I'm missing is the smaller indies, like we got last year all year long.

Benedict Fox can't come soon enough next month. I like alternating between larger and smaller games.

Valheim is a prominent indie, but I guess it's not really suited to single player. Still interesting though, and I'll give it a shot.

Holy shit, I finished Ni No Kuni Remastered with my 6yo daughter two days ago and she has been like: "When can we play Ni No Kuni 2?" ever since. And I was like:"It's not out on xbox and I am not even sure it ever will." What timing!

FYI, the opening of the game is kinda dark before it gets into the fantasy world shenanigans, so you might wanna look it up separately before putting it in front of a 6 year old to see if it's just better to skip the intro for the kid.

Oh no! We really enjoyed the first one (I'm not even into JRPGs) and she absolutely adored all the characters but as far as I understand the second one has a new set of characters, right? In that case, it is probably for the best, because if she doesn't like the game, it will be easier for her to abandon it.

Way too many complained about 2022 being a dry year, hopefully they didn't take it to heart.

It almost became a perception. Still people parrot about it non stop.

10 min into Valheim. Feels like someone tried to make a multiplayer Morrowind on OG Xbox. And I mean that in a positive way.

Its obviously very rough around the edges but I'm kinda into it so far.

Ended up playing Valheim way later than I wanted to. This is the first survival game to grab me at all. Subnautica didn't grab me. Grounded didn't grab me. This has.

Spent all god damn night just chopping wood and building a house. My roof still isn't done, but god damn that was some blood, sweat and tears that went into that thing.

I'm not sure how long I'll stick with it, but I can see the appeal. If you're playing multiplayer, I can REALLY see the appeal.
