Xbox will give 200 lucky fans a one-of-a-kind experience at gamescom, the world’s largest video game consumer show. The Xbox gamescom FanFest Ticket will include:

An exclusive “Xbox FanFest Showcase” on Thursday Night, August 18, from 20:00 – 23:00 CEST at the Xbox Booth, Hall 8. Experience all the games and cool surprises in the Xbox booth after the crowds have gone for the night.

How can I get my Xbox FanFest: gamescom 2016 ticket?

The majority of tickets will be first-come, first-serve, one per-person, and be distributed Wednesday morning, August 17 in Cologne, Germany. We will announce the location on Wednesday morning, August 17. Be sure to follow Xbox on Twitter, Facebook, and Snapchat to find out the secret location.

When will Xbox make the announcement to line up and get an Xbox FanFest: gamescom 2016 ticket?

Lineup location will be announced at 10:00 CEST, Wednesday morning, August 17. Xbox FanFest tickets will be distributed in-person immediately after we reveal the location, in Cologne, Germany. Be sure to follow Xbox on Twitter, Facebook, and Snapchat to find out the secret location.

Is there an age-minimum to attend Xbox FanFest: gamescom 2016?

Yes, every ticket-holder has to be over 18 years of age. Parents with children under the age of 18 will not be allowed. We will require a valid, government-issued, picture ID (driver’s license, passport) as part of registration.

How many Xbox FanFest tickets can I get?

One ticket; one person – tickets are non-transferable and cannot be resold.

If I’m traveling to Cologne, are there hotel accommodations?

It’s up to the individual to pay for their own travel and hotel accommodations.

What if I can only spend a couple of days in Cologne; can you tell me now what the other surprises are for the rest of the week?

FanFest activities are only on Wednesday August 17th and Thursday, August 18th.

Will the 200 fans get tickets to attend the Consumer Days at gamescom (Thursday – Sunday)?

Xbox will not provide tickets to those days.

I'm kind of surprised it's limited to 200 people. For E3 this year FanFest was 500 people. Perhaps they want to make it a more intimate show, I know they were looking for feedback on FanFest to make it better for fans in the future.

This is Germany bro. No one gives a shit about Xbox and Microsoft here. Last year they had 500 tickets as well and didn't even give them all out cause there weren't enough people.

Btw the special day time activity on Wednesday will most likely be a ticket for Gamescom like last year. Which is nice because there is way less people roaming the floors that day(still terrible if you ask me though).

Good Luck, if I was in Germany I would do the same, would love to get my hands on Sea of Thieves and Gears 4. Also with only 200 tickets, I can imagine their will be some good free stuff.

MS are trying hard, but at this point mainland Europe must be a lost cause.
