The situation of this game on Xbox platforms is totally incomprehensible and we only needed this "discovery" to curl the curl. I have no idea what they intended in XBO X. Compared to Sekiro both XBO and X have clearly seen their performance target worsen (and especially load times as already seen in the network test) while in PS they have kept it intact. They have limited themselves to carrying the code and that the scaling of the engine did the rest. The problem is that the engine seems to give priority to the resolution and graphic detail instead of the framerate and what you get is a version of the game far from what is preferable for a hardware with the advantages and possibilities of XBO X that should be, by far, the best oldgen version. It is noticeable that this goal was never attempted.
The game itself can be magnificent in the rest of the sections, but the technology and performance is a very important one and, in that aspect , it is 2/10 and therefore giving the perfect note is incomprehensible for me. I repeat my opinion again... A game with this level of performance and technology in more than capable machines should have been penalized and highlighted in some way in metacritic. If it had been an Xbox or PS first party game, or an EA game, UBi, capcom etc they would have seen penalty and criticism and in this case it has been blatantly overlooked. The thing is that if the voice is not raised, FromSoftware will do the same in its next game because it has appreciated that it does not penalize it.
