It is bad in all consoles.

The difference is that Series X has a performance mode with lowered settings while PS5 has the same settings as Quality Mode with unlocked framerate… that makes Series X have advantage in framerate in performance mode.

But again even the 30fps Quality Mode has bad frame pacing.

These games should have been remade ground up like what Capcom did with RE. I can't believe a company like Rockstar couldn't fund a decent remake. Shambles

How does that even run at 30fps in any mode on XSX? Seems 60fps would be standard even in quality. It wouldn't shock me if some average developer could get this running at 60fps in quality mode on ps4 pro or X1X

Both consoles runs the Quality Mode with a very bad 30fps implementation (heavy frame pacing issues).

The Performance mode just unlock the framerate in PS5 but fail to reach 60fps while on Series X it uses a lower graphics settings/resolution but while having higher framerate than PS5 still fails to delivery 60fps.

It is really a mess.
And somebody asked to not blame the developer lol

Atmosphere and colors are completely ruined compared to originals, it looks awful.

Framerate isn't even important at this point. Even the infamous Silent Hill HD remaster did a much better job of preserving original look.

Switch version is in such bad shape that it might be more straightforward to port the original (PS2/Xbox/PC) than try to patch it. Switch is already missing most of the Unreal 4 visual flourishes, and even if the bugs are sorted it would probably still be sub-720p and have a poor frame rate.

I just can't believe they couldn't do anything with the Renderware engine. Unreal engine destroys the classic look of the originals. I can't even bring myself to continue playing San Andreas. Makes me sad. I'll try again after a few patches.

friendly reminder that this is what a few modders did.
It's based on GTA5 and has no missions and cinematics, but still...

how the "Definitive Edition" passed Rockstars quality control is beyond me

The could have done the Remasters based on GTA5. But they went with the cheapest way possible. Let a third class studio do the work with an AI upscaler.

What could Go wrong? Here you see It.
The even removed fine Details from the game like newspapers on the streets. Flying birds in the distance or Cloude showing the middle finger to honking drivers.

This is what you call a cheap money grab. They could have easily done a remake similar to what Capcom has done with RE. It would have sold gang busters. Not like this gif......

So it's not actually Vice City, it's a mod for another game? So it's not actually comparable to what this trilogy is?

We should be comparing to what modders have done to actual Vice City, 3 and San Andreas.

I brought it up because the whole city is there, rebuilt on a full scale - just like the definitive edition in unreal engine 4
It has less issues and bugs and this is rockstars own engine, but importing anything into Unreal Editor is way easier and cheaper I believe.
