Ever had a neighbor try to Proselytise you?

What do they say about very religious girls?

I live in China. My neighbors are Christian, which being China is a very rare thing. We're good friends and they don't push a religious angle other than praying before eating anytime we eat together. No Fuss, no bother and I can respect that.

One day for no reason she just showed me some pictures of her pole dancing when she was younger (Silver hot pants, silver crop top).

Very religious girls who turn atheist are always a good time. They’ve got a lot of stored up fuck in them :messenger_tears_of_joy:
Repressing your sexuality never ends well, it builds up and oozes through the cracks.

If your a guy that likes cock, just go for it. Who gives a shit if some people call you a fag. Live your best authentic life.

She's either lonely or a cultist. Next time you see her make some small talk, ask her favorite food and then ask if she would like to have dinner with you at your place (making that food).
If she says no it's pretty safe to say she's not interested or a genuine cultist in which case it's an easy way to avoid her from that point forward.
But otherwise she's looking for companionship.

Just a little advice from a fellow atheist as well.
The vast majority of people believe in some higher power.
If you narrow your friends/lovers to just atheists you're going to lead a lonely life.
If it were me and I wanted a relationship with her I would just tell her that I don't believe in the same way she does nor probably ever will.
I might go to church a few times to make her happy but as long as you don't browbeat the subject constantly it doesn't have to be a dominant subject in your lives.

I'd make a "Do you want to got for a walk in the park/beach/hills?" play in that situation.

My only problem with that is it allows nuance into friends territory. By asking her out to dinner you make your intentions clear. I want a relationship (physical or otherwise) or please stop bothering me.
It's a good tactic if you might want to be friends though.
Although it was probably said in jest don't ask her if she's DTF outright because you've entered outright creep territory lol.

Very sensible position. Though, I'll assume you're American, from the point about the vast majority believing in a higher power. For the sake of clarity, this is not the case across the majority of the developed world, other than the States.

This story has some serious miscues, imo. For starters, I would never recommend proselytizing the opposite sex. I leave that junk to the mormons who are notorious for marrying-to-convert or at least dating-to-convert.

OP, I think this girl possibly has a thing for you. She's cooking for you. She's taking time out of her day to see you. OP, you are on this girl's radar unless you are very noticeably ill and she's trying to cast the net salvation upon someone on death's doorstep.

Of course, the other consideration could be that this poor gal is out of school, working full time, going to church, and still lonely. Lonely causes this, too. The fact she is trying to invite you to her church could just be her attempt to make new friends AND get in with a church she is still trying to connect with. Trust me, you can go to a church for over a year and still feel like you're on the outside looking in. It's a strange place to be.

Also, I'm sorry you decided leave home, ditch church, and believe we all randomly flew together. That is some messed up stuff to believe. I admire the strength of your faith, and may the randomness be kind to you throughout your days.

People who can smell religious bullshit don’t need your pity, have fun at your church that apparently doesn’t make you feel welcome you after years of attending. But yeah it’s definitely the non-believers who are lost in life 🙄 Projecting much?

Doesnt need recognition
My next door neighbor likes to discuss Aleister Crowley's sex magick rituals with me. I give him (stale) cake and play Elden Ring while somewhat listening

Depending on the religion and their practices, even as an atheist I’d rather marry say a southern Christian girl with wholesome values than some free spirit atheist hippie from the west coast. Good chance that religious girl is going to be a good parent who teaches your kids good values and is loyal and caring as a partner. Would probably be conflict raising the kids though in terms of what to teach them.

As for this girl, forget about fucking her. Keep stringing her along so you get free food. Free food >>>>>

I was on a night shift work pattern had some Jehovah's come round mid afternoon waking me up. Being too polite to tell them to fuck off I listened to them and they wanted to do a prayer for me, asked me what I would like them to prayer for. I said to have a good night shift so they did. That night was the worst night I've ever had at work and from that moment I never even considered religion.

Apparently I struck a nerve. I'm always here via DM if you need someone who will listen.

Nothing more to talk about, that’s just how I respond to condescending, hypocritical religious crap. Glad it makes you happy, you don’t need to try to tell people you’re sorry for them for not believing whatever your church pumped into your head.

Your thinly veiled attempt to extend an invitation to “listen” stinks like more unwanted religious advances. If you want to come proselytize on my dm door with more of your self righteous pity I won’t respond very charitably to that, thanks anyways.

I live in a very mormon community outside of Phoenix so I have plenty of neighbors that ride their bikes around and knock on doors. They're kind folks but years ago a couple of them got so annoying I had to tell them we were Satanists for them to go away for good. Best thing to do for your neighbor OP is just be up front next time she brings something by. Honesty is always the answer. If you don't tell her you're atheist/not interested this ain't gonna stop.

It actually doesn't make me happy. I was actually a little sad I got zero laughs in response to the randomly flying together stuff. The whole sentence was sarcasm and had nothing to do with any specific church OP left behind. We aren't even talking about my church of choice. OP never stated what kind of church.

That thinly veiled invitation was meant to poke fun at you.

Anyway, I'm sorry. Also, no, I don't go around proselytizing. I don't think I'm that bad on GAF. I think my post history is mostly alright if you go looking through it. My one fault is I can be quite annoying I suspect.

Seriously yes, had the same thing (minus the god bothering element). I'd started a new job, she was working there and was 20. No life experiance, hadnt been to uni and still lived with her (somewhat overprotective) parents. She decided she wanted some DILF action with me but didn't know how to get there. It started with the home baking she'd bring me each morning, and only me.

Smashed

how long did it take? what did you have to do to get to that point?

To OP; invite them to your place for dinner and see how that goes. From my perspective, i think she's trying to get to know you better to recruit you into the church, which I am kinda leaning on is her main intention.

Oh yeah it happens. I got stuck training under a guy who thought I was his son or something. That part was fine. He was a nice old guy, whatever.

He did start in on trying to save my soul tho. So I assured him that Jesus was awesome but I don't believe my soul would be lost if I didn't join his fan club. I didn't tell him to stop. Just let him know that I've already thought about it and will do my own thing with my soul.

I don't find it offensive. Part of being a Christian is getting worried about people's souls and then trying to save them. I appreciate it, in a way. Annoying, though. Or exhausting if you can't get away from it- my histrionic dad had a hell of a born again streak.

Anyway I'll leave you with the thought of neighbor girl kneeling by her bed every night trying to pray away her lust for you.

My upstairs apt neighbor does. She's young,, probably around 24 or so, she's nice when I have interacted with her and even has brought over some dishes and deserts she had made (which admittedly was quite good), at first she didn't say anything about church or the bible etc. But recently that has changed, when she comes over she'll bring some food and talk a bit but has started asking me to come to her church, even gave me a religious book; not a bible but a novel. She really is sweet and nice but having grown up in a VERY religious family that, while not at all abusive or anything and did provide nevertheless at 18 I moved out and never went to church again and became an atheist. Not that I push my views on others and I do realize she's not bad or anything by any means, and I know she means well, but this can get annoying.
You should take her to church if you know what I mean 😏

I’d just say listen, I’ll come if you suck me off. Leave the ball in her court. Lay down your cards.

Well, when i was a child my best friend's home was super close to mine so we were basically neighbours and he was a mormon, his family invited me a couple of times in their church and they gifted me their bible or whatever, but since i was a child, i was mostly a science dude so fairytales about superior beings never did anything for me.

But his dad had a nice collection of japanese soft porns so we had something sacred to praise during my sleepovers at his home.

Next time she comes over, grab her by the shoulders, look her deep in the eyes and say: "I gotta be honest with you, I can't keep this for myself any longer..." "I've never been a religious person, but....". Then proceed to unzip your pants and say: "...whenever someone sucks on my dick, I get these VERY intense religious feelings!" and see where it goes.

Is she hot? You could always fake interest in her religion to get closer to her.. and then sex.
