Famitsu Sales: 11/28/22 – 12/4/22 | Pokemon Scarlet and Violet continues to top the charts.

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of November 27, 2022 to December 4, 2022.
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet for Switch remained the highest selling games of the week, moving an additional 310,235 retail copies.
The highest selling new release of the week was Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope for Switch, which opened at 17,647 retail copies sold.
On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 152,284 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 27,835 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 4,211 units, and the Xbox Series family sold 1,854 units. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles continue to face stock issues.

The message is and has been clear for years: Gamers WILL buy shoddy products at full price.

Games will never stop releasing in a sorry state.
 
Both of them clearly made and marketed for the west.
It is a huge decline compared to it's predecessor that debuted at number 1.

Well, under 30K for PS5 isn't a massive stock either. It improved but still is small compared to what Nintendo is capable to ship for Japan.
They said to have solved the supply problem this week, this chart is from week prior.

So we'll need to wait to see how much stock they can supply.
 
For those curious, Famitsu scored PSV a 38/40, same score than Pokemon Legend Arceus. And Sword and Shield. It's their to-go score for a sufficiently hyped game, from a long-standing Japanese series of games, that doesn't deserve a 40/40, really.
