Far Cry’s former boss is leading Blizzard’s new survival game | VGC

Hay left Ubisoft last year after a decade at its Montreal studio, where he was credited for overseeing the Far Cry series during its most prosperous period.

In Blizzard’s end-of-year update published on Thursday, it was revealed that Hay has joined the company to helm its new IP.

Hay is “leading the team which is infusing this genre with Blizzard magic while crafting our first new IP since Overwatch”, it said. “The team has doubled in size this year and we’re looking to grow it even more in the new year!”

Holy fuck, it's DOA Far Cry is one of the most creatively bankrupt paint-by-numbers open world game out right now.

surprisingly enough, i don't play video games so that i can experience the pleasure of repeatedly feeding my character canned peaches. while i can appreciate the fact that other gamers may derive a certain amount of satisfaction from doing so, i, unfortunately, just seem to be incapable of it...
