Gaming craving, do you have them?

I feel you OP. And not playing while you're getting that urge to play feels like an exquisite pain.

These cravings can be influenced by various factors, such as nostalgia, a desire for a specific gaming experience, or simply hearing or seeing something that triggers the urge. It's a natural response, and gaming has a way of evoking strong emotions and memories.

There's no harm in it, unless it interferes with your daily life or causes distress.

Some craving for a specific genre or game, might help to get through my backlog, but no, I pretty much always have a hard time choosing which one I should tackle next. The PS Plus leaving soon section actually helps because once something is listed a deadline is approaching and instead of thinking about playing all the dozen and hundred games I might like, and often not being able to decied easily, then I am forced to concentrate on only a few games and I have to make an order of what I really want to play in the next weeks and which games I can miss.

Yeah I like to eat brie while I play GT7 and a full bag of skittles with some mountain dew and maybe a pastie or a sausage roll depending on how im feeling that day if I've already had like three bags of skips while I time trial.

I already had a steam deck for all my emulations needs but I saw these on amazon for like $89 so I just had to get one to tinker with.. installion Onion OS 4.2 beta and it's been quite fun, even though the navigation is a mess..

Dang, $89 for the miyoo mini is a good price. I have been attempting to get one for my cousin, but the lowest I have seen was $110. I also have the mini + which actually feels better in the hands, but it's missing the magic of a handheld that is the size of a deck of cards.

it was the mini plus.. amazon has them, and it came with like 10K games already installed

I have compiled a curated list of USA and world region games for every console supported on the mini. I found that all too often I would end up in a different region version of the game then I was expecting. It took a few hours to put together, along with box art files.

I also dabbled into patching QOL improvements into many games to make them more enjoyable. Patching in color profiles adjusted for modern displays was a game changer for GBA games. It is transformative to the second and third GBA Castlevania. In the long run it was worth it for not only the mini, but to also have it for any retro console I buy in the future.

I play something everyday so not really.

I crave for some older rock solid RTS games like Warcraft 2 or 3.

I get cravings sometimes where I just have to play very specific games. Just recently I had an urge to play this masterpiece (and it's a game I revisit often, just because I love it so damn much)

Sometimes I want to play a specific game in VR but I'm too fucking lazy to get off my fat ass and set everything up, not to mention stand around to play.

I play through MMX 1 through 4 multiple times a year on a whim, and I actually feel like playing through em again soon even though I just played through them last month. MMX games are crack to me.

I also randomly blast through Soul Calibur, Third Strike, Alpha 2, SSF 2, and Alpha 3 arcade modes whenever the urge strikes me, which is very often.

I’ve had a recent craving for some fps fun porn. Good punchy guns that look cool, with enemies die on satisfying fashion. One of the reasons I picked up Modern Warfare.

I’m itching for more though. Tried Back 4 Blood, but there’s no punch to the weapons.

I’m also hungry for Dead Islands meaty looking melee combat. Price is still a bit steep for that one though.

My curse is related. Sometimes I'll get a craving to experience a franchise from top to bottom, even if I've done so beforehand. Usually stuff like Metal Gear, RE, etc.

Dawn of War 2 campaign. The original is great, the first expansion is a direct sequel, then the second expansion added a bunch of different races. You have hero characters that level up, unlock more units for your army, fun missions, and you collect randomized gear to equip your heroes. I have put way too much time into it, but it isn't crazy hard unless you want it to be. Overall if you live Warhammer 40 and RTS, no brainier.
