Right here and TLOU2 by far has been subjected to bombing more than GOT. Nobody has more energy than tha anti-woke people. A year later and they are still mad at Brie Larson.
They bring a whole different kind of hate and negativity. Personally I had no issue with Captain Marvel

FFVII remake and ghosts of tsushima have been my favorites but it's been a very top heavy year so far with not much else, although the Mortal kombat XI expansion story mode was surprisingly pretty good
Yep, Final Fantasy 7 is really good too. I have to dive deeper into it. I'm only on chapter 10

I am not really a fan of comic book movies but the way they swarmed like locusts against that and Birds of Prey was embarrassing. The SJWs did go after The Joker and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood as well so it was two sided.

Yeah it's insane how much effort they put into things they dislike, it's gotta be unhealthy

Combat mechanics are really good when you get into it, there are a lot of good you tube videos out there that can show you how to properly use everyone, for example the game became a lot more fun for me when I realized I can use Tifa and spam her attacks and combos when enemies get staggered in order to do massive damage. The story is also underrated but you do have to have a decent grasp of the FFVII story lore and advent children to fully appreciate the nuance and hints the game leaves. I hope you finish it the last battle is pretty epic.

Oh Birds of Prey also sucked but it had some artistry to its creation, some interesting camerawork and some decently choregraphed fight scenes. I can see people liking it, too as it feels like a more female friendly Deadpool but man does it fall apart in that final third.

The ironic thing is that Margot Robbie stood up for Tarantino when the feminists tried to come for him and then the anti-woke turned against her movie for some reason. Do they even know why they are mad anymore? Also the heads of ND and Sucker Punch have been showing each other love on twitter so there is no need to pit these two games against each other.

I do love switching from different party members to do their different magic attacks and Limits. The summons are incredible. Final Fantasy 7 was my very 1st RPG and the 1st time I loved a story in a video game. Sephiroth was a badass even back then the stories about the mass destruction he caused was so interesting

I'm going to make sure I get to the ending of the remake now :)

Can't speak for everyone but I just want to protect my hobbies, people like me grew up with comics, video games and I have always have had a deep respect for the creators and their source material. It's tragic to see things we are passionate about get infiltrated, diseased, and than murdered by SJW's, political correctness, and feminism.

Yeah it's a big surprise you should not be disappointed

They're both on the same team I'd say, Tarantino did a thing about his support for BLM for instance, what the celebs CAN rally around together is their problems with cancel culture and how it stifles creative freedom.

True but around the time that his last movie came out the twitter feminists wanted his head on a platter. They truly tried to cancel him and she had his back which I respect.

The only thing about Days Gone that was true is that the 7 average it has is about right. Like I said the game was full of bugs and technical issues even weeks after launch. It was also way too bloated. Even people who really liked the game will tell you that it would've been better if they cut about 20 hours out of it. A game like that doesn't deserve an 8 or higher. The game didn't deserve 4/10s but the overall concensus that it was around a 7 is spot on. That's fine too as it was from a developer who hadn't even put out a game on console since the PS2. Bend isn't exactly at a Naughty Dog or Insomniac quality you know.

All the bugs could be fixed and it wouldn't change their score. That was not the focus of their complaints at all. It was 8.5 game easy. The word of mouth was great.

The reviewers went online and posted screenshots of Sara bending over in front of Deacon - "look how sexist he is!", they made fun of the Sons of Anarchy quote (it was all the game was known for for awhile). They said they couldn't relate with the story because of Deacon (generic straight white male) etc.

It wasn't enough to give the game a bad score, they really were pushing for something else.

And bloated? You're gonna make me believe TLOU2 is not bloated? They should have cut 10 hours of that game. They forgot they were making the sequel to TLOU and not the "We luv Abby and Lev show".

Neil: Oh yeah Ellie? Here's another tacked on part about her at the end...sorry I was too enamored with my dream characters.

Well if TLOU2 is anything to go by yeah most of them probably haven't. That game had 30,000 negative reviews mere hours after it released. Don't even try to act like all those people played the game. I also went through a ton of people's profiles that gave Ghost a 10/10 on Meta and funny enough the only other game they've ever given a user score to was TLOU 2 and it was a 0/10, 1/10 etc. These people aren't playing these games. They have an agenda and are using Metacritic to voice it.
what is your proof GoT scores are related to TLOU2? Metacritic even delayed user sores for this game and the rate of reviews is standard to other games.

Like the fade to black cut scenes constantly, characters standing completely still when talking to each other, lack of gameplay to cut scene transitions, etc.. It’s really not compelling whatsoever when the camera is rolling, or characters are talking, which isn’t good for a narrative based game. It’s a really clumsy package of a game so far.

.

Yeah that’s my only peev: the fade to black between playing and cut scenes and cut scenes and playing. That was a shock after coming off of TLOU2 which does that seemingly and perfect

If you actually read my whole comment you'd know how they are related. I just said I went through tons of their profiles and many of these Metacritic users only reviews are a 10/10 for Ghost and a 0/10, 1/10 for TLOU2. That's how I know they are related. Just about every other person's profile I clicked on showed this.

how do you know each has been motivated to score GoT 10/10 as a slight to TLOU2 and not for the merits of GoT?

B/c it's pretty obvious. When the only 2 reviews that a user has ever posted on MC is a 10/10 for GoT and a 0/10 for TLOU2 it's crystal clear what they are doing. These are the kind of people who listen to shit youtubers like The Quartering. He shit all over TLOU2 and is praising GoT and all he talks about is both of those games user scores on Metacritic. If you don't think that his audience and other like minded ones don't go to Metacritic to flood those user reviews I don't know what to tell you other than you're ignorant.

What you presenting is conjecture not proof. new users sign-up for Metacritic every minute, it could be very well be a regular 1st review for the TLOU2 and his next game is GoT. remember these 2 games released close to each other without any other big game in-between. and both are very high profile games likely to be played by the mainstream.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to put 2 and 2 together. You don't seem capable of doing that though. High profile anti-TLOU2 Youtubers put out videos every day going on about Metacritic user scores and you think they aren't connected at all? Haha some people really do enjoy fooling themselves. The whole fact that these two games released so close together lends them being connected to be even more likely. GoT doesn't have gay/trans characters/muscular women in it so of course that same hateful audience is going to praise GoT so that they can think in their mind they are proving something to Sony. Too bad no one really cares about Metacritic user scores.

Same disparity between reviews and user score.
They're so predictable.

Why go through all that trouble if you didn't care? how far would you go if you actually did care?

Art Direction I say yes...

but RDR2 and Horizon are better looking overall (IMO).

Art direction is everything. BOTW is on the Switch after all and it was praised to high heaven.

The more I play the more I see Okami. I'm wondering if it was a direct inspiration? The way the wind makes everything fly around you is breathtaking.

GOT is so gorgeous I would explore for hours and that's rare for me. I usually don't like wandering around wasting time, I always need to have an active objective.

I don't care what the score is. I was curious whether the same people who flooded TLOU2 with 0/10s would flood GoT with 10/10s and I was right. Like I said most people don't pay attention to MC user scores as they aren't trustworthy. That Spongebob remaster has a user score over 9 right now just b/c Gamespot gave it a horrible score. Just shows what lengths some people go to.

Dude, wtf are people seeing in this game.

I’m about 10 hours in and I have admittedly done quite a lot of side missions, with main quest acts here and there, BUT I AM GODDAMN TIRED of “Investigate”, follow footprints, and trail X person that appear in both side and main missions. Of course, always ending with some bland ass dialogue.

Im certainly going to keep on until the end, but I can’t see this improving all of the sudden for me.

I'm probably around 25% but this game is a dream, side content is already tons better than AC, actually doing most of the side content as there is actually effort done by SP instead of the usual AC stuff. Once I'm done, can't wait to do a second playthrough to play it Kurosawa style!

Why should we trust media and not users? what are the credentials of these media persons? are they accomplished gamers who are seasoned in several genres? what makes them special? also, the media is dependent on add revenue and special access from publishers, they are much more vulnerable to influence than users.

and the user score average is significant, the sample size is several thousand, individual opinions that conform with your theory are outliers unless a trend is deducted based on actual math.

If you say so buddy 🤷‍♂️

Pack it up boys. Someone tell Nvidia to cancel the RTX 3080 ti. Because of the speed of duh SSD, AAA PC gaming is done for. It’s a wrap.

Xbox looks like the slick/simplistic mini ITX PC build I always drool over, but never have the balls to build.

PS5 is that weird/fugly case you buy from Ali Express or at those big Chinese tech markets where they sell a bunch of knockoff components.

I truly feel people are forcing themselves to like it simply because it’s the new Playstation. Slap a Nintendo or Xbox logo on it and there would be a significantly lower amount people claiming “it’s growing on me”.

If you say so buddy 🤷‍♂️
Wtf, so my opinion is dismissed because after digging through my post history you concluded that I’m anti-Sony or something?

Sure, buddy.

I have owned a base PS4 and PS4 Pro since their respective launches and have spent my hard earned money on about 80% of Sony exclusives. Eat your damn shoe.

I still think the PS5 looks Alienwareish and that there are certainly people that are forcing themselves to like it. I do love mini-itx builds in the shape of the Series X. Oh, and lmao, that SSD comment was replying to an idiotic post mentioning that “the days of AAA gaming on PC are counted”

Get a grip, buddy.

Yeah because nothing says user score is more trustworthy than thousands of 0/10 scores or 10/10 scores for a game and 1 sentence reviews. At least game reviewers play the game and put a lot into writing a review.

Metacritic should link accounts to psn and Xbox etc. if the hooks aren’t there they should work together on a standardised approach. Can’t review unless game is recorded in your account. The platform holders swear by metacritic so there is incentive.
Exactly. Unless there is proof that you own or have played a game you shouldn't be allowed to leave a user review.

I really want to like GOT, but I don't.

It's a nice looking game but everything else is bland. It's also got too many systems for it's own good. I'm tired of games with these skill trees that don't fundamentally change how you approach the gameplay. I wish they weren't even there.

Some of the choices Suckerpunch made with the combat seem like such huge oversights. The lack of a lock on means you are fighting with the camera with the right stick to focus on the opponent you want, which means it's a lot harder to swing the sword while focusing an opponent because the attacks are on the face buttons. It's kind of miserable to control when you get in a fight with more than a few guys. The whole combat system has this lack of precision that doesn't work.

It's a bummer. I really wanted to like this game after the first couple of hours and I carried on, and it hasn't met me half way.

You like AC and X and we get it but no one is looking forward to your hourly updates how you don't like the game for the nth time.

4 hours in...I think im not liking it too much.

Swipe up on touchpad to “follow the wind”in order to get to your destination, followed by a cheap sounding wind noise from the controller is gimmicky and really stupid.

As a huge AC fan, climbing feels like a step back from Assassins Creed 1, and I hated the first AC. Being limited to such a small amount of climbable spots doesn’t feel like it belongs in 2020.

Speaking of climbing, those rock textures look like they came straight from the PS4 launch days. The graphics are so bipolar. One moment you get this nice scene with wind blowing glistening grass and trees, and the next moment im standing on a cliff and the terrible LOD and muddy textures slap me in the face.

The intro felt like Ryse Son of Rome, thankfully without QTEs at least.

I hope I’m wrong in this one, and the word generic usually makes me cringe, but the story so far looks like it will be very generic. Hopefully it doesn’t end with the typical “beating the guy that beats you at the beginning in order to save a loved one”.

Ok, weeb. What’s with the hostility?

Wasn’t the game supposed to be the “Japan AC we always wanted!”?

Calm down, just because I’m not liking it a few hours in
, doesn’t mean I won’t end up enjoying it once I reach the end.
