Master the balance between ranged and melee combat as you fight through a slew of enemies, feeling the impact of each swing of your chainsword or blazing gunfire from your lasgun.

Way to the Woods – 2021

A Deer and Fawn must embark on a journey through an abandoned world of the unknown to get home. A third person adventure game solo developed by Anthony Tan, featuring music from Aivi & Surasshu, composers for the show Steven Universe. Unravel the mystery of Cat Town, evade a hounding pack of wolves, and find your light to explore a world filled with the relics of the old gods: humanity.

Woods, caves, coastline, ancient shrines… The Deep Woods is full of puzzles to be solved and secrets waiting to be uncovered.

The Yakuza Remastered Collection – January 28 / Yakuza 6: The Song of Life – March 25

These ones aren’t technically exclusive, but it’s the first time these games are coming to Xbox and Xbox Game Pass, so we’re pretty excited. The Yakuza games have been making a big splash on Xbox recently, especially once the most recent titles hit Xbox Game Pass last year, and the critically acclaimed Yakuza Like a Dragon launched alongside Xbox Series X|S. Later this month, The Yakuza Remastered Collection, which gathers Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5 will land on Xbox Game Pass. Then, in March, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will be added to the service, completing the Kazuma Kiryu story arc of the Yakuza saga. This means that fans will finally be able to play the entire saga of The Dragon of Dojima, from Yakuza 0 to Yakuza 6, with one Xbox Game Pass subscription!

But Yakuza isn't exclusive to Xbox. How many on this list isn't? I just want to see a list of Xbox only games. Games you cannot find anywhere except on Xbox.

Edit: Oh Tunic! Where is this game?? They showed us gameplay 3 years ago! Why so long??

I watched every single trailer, most of it not my thing, mostly indie artsy games in that list, cute games that you play if you already have the console but nothing that you go out of your way to play. If I had plans to get an XSX, I'd get The Medium and Song of Iron. I'd consider Psychonauts 2 (although I hate the art direction, so I'd probably just gamepass it). CrossFire X, Exo Mecha look interesting, but I don't like FPS games.

I hope they announce more stuff for this year because as it is, there's almost nothing there this year for Xbox fans.

From this list, I am mostly interested in;

the medium
the ascent
song of iron
scorn
crossfire
halo
flight sim

wondering hey they didn’t list stalker 2 there, also what are the chance we will get some new announcements with 2021 release dates?

Why do you care? Microsoft doesn't, pc people don't, xbox people don't. You're in the jungle and haven't heard console wars are over, it's all about active platform engagement.

Just checked out those videos. ExoMecha and Crossfire for me I guess. Not really interested in these games. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yakuza 3-5 and 6 are on PS4, Psychonauts 2 is not console exclusive. The other stuff I am interested in, I have tried demos for on PC. Still, cool for Xbox owners.

Hyped for Psychonauts, tunic, FS, crossfire and a few others. All I need is halo. The game will cover me for a year easily. No hype like halo hype

Looking forward to Psychonauts 2. Loved the first one but unfortunately it has aged like shit, so a modern follow up is most welcomed. Crossing fingers Tim Schafer ain't fucking it up.

The Medium is also very interesting, hoping for good reviews and a release date for the PS5 in about a year or two. I'm most excited about the score. Akira Yamaoka never fails to produce memorable OSTs.

The name of the thread is "Games Coming Exclusively to Xbox in 2021" how you gonna ask him why he cares about which are coming exclusively to Xbox XD. Its literally the purpose of the thread.

This bit has been done to death. Xbox games are on pc but it’s still through windows so you’re still playing within Microsoft’s ecosystem.
Eh? He was talking about platforms. Xbox is a platform. PC is a platform. And most people play through the Steam app where Microsoft doesn't even get a cut of the revenue except from XBS games.

Its a good thing they are coming to Steam like all MS games because there would be a LOT of studio closings.

Also how many games has MS kept exclusive and they just wilter to nothing like Vigor(now on PS) and Phantasy Star 2? Luckily they will be saved by being on Steam. Dont regret the studios for taking cash but the track record is abysmal.

My list be like...-How you doin' ? (In Brooklyn accent, ofcourse)

Halo Infinite (2021)

Psychonauts 2 (2021)

The Gunk (Xbox One, Xbox Series X September 2021)

As Dusk Falls (Xbox Series X)

Avowed (Xbox Series X)

Elder Scrolls 6 (Xbox Series X)

Everwild (Xbox Series X)

Fable (Xbox Series X)

Forza Motorsport (Xbox Series X)

Microsoft Flight Simulator

State of Decay 3 (Xbox Series X)

Scorn (Xbox Series X)

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II (Xbox Series X, Xbox One)

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 (Xbox Series X)

Starfield (Xbox Series X)

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide (Xbox Series X)

Looks good to me:

Can't wait to play The Ascent, probably my most anticipiated game of 2021.
I played Echo Generation demo and as a Gen-Xer, it checked all the right boxes for me.
Crossfire is something I will check out, mostly because it's Remedy.
The Gunk is made by Steamworld Dig guys and they make awesome games.
Halo Infinite, obviously.
Song of Iron demo was rough, but the guy is super passionate about his game and I hope it will deliver.
Tunic looks great, so does Sable.
If Darktide is anything like Vermintide games, then I'm on it day one.
Psychonauts 2 is my kind of weird.
I'm not sure I will like The Medium, because Bloober stuff is kind of hit and miss for me, but at least it looks promising.
I don't have a PC, so I definitely want to check out MS Simulator.
I have a feeling Scorn will be a disappointment, but still want to check it out.

Rest I can live without. So, all in all, not bad and I'm pretty sure there will be at least as many games that will be announced at a later date.

EverydayBeast

thinks Halo Infinite is a new graphical benchmark
Nobody knows if any of these games will have an impact just too unknown, Halo will knock down millions that’s known.

Bernkastel

Ask me about my fanboy energy!
It mentions some stuffs that are definitely not exclusive(She Dreams Elsewhere, Psychonauts 2, Yakuza stuffs) and omits stuffs that are(Bright Memory Infinite, MechWarrior 5). Here is a better list.

exclusives i care about:

-Psychonauts 2

*crickets*
It’s funny you picked the one game they specifically said wasn’t exclusive but deserved to be mentioned anyway.

It’s not like this is the full list for the year, more games will be announced and released (and some probably delayed) this is just them rehashing all the games that have been announced to be released this year so far.

Oh o.k. yeah, i didn't do this intentionally. *looks at wikipedia list of platforms* I was MIA when microsoft announced this was coming to playstation also, i guess.

Does anyone know the name of the Josef Fares title that was shown in the VGAs? When is that coming out?

It takes two.

Xbox store has it listed but I can’t remember the exact date off the top of my head.

Feb I think.

Nevermind just double checked and it’s March 26

Ahhh, regular as clockwork, along come a trail of folk saying ‘how can it be exclusive, it’s on the PC?’.

Stop being obtuse. We all know this ‘exclusivity’ tag we give to games is intended to mean across consoles.

(Not every console gamer has a PC, and of those that do, even fewer will have one capable of gaming. Bully for you if you do, but it’s not relevant to the claim).

Halo for me, all I need to see me through the year. Also looking forward to giving Flight Simulator a try.

Alternate thread title idea: " Sony fans: come shit in someone else's sandbox"
I am console neutral, I have always ended up with both an xbox and playstation (don't have either of the new ones just yet) but Sony wiped the floor with xbox this (last?) gen so hard. At this point I have not seen anything that suggests that they won't do it again, just maybe to a slightly lesser degree with all these new studios xbox has now, but we don't know a ton about what those studios will produce or if what they do create will rival sony's output, because tbh, xbox exclusives tend to mostly fall short imo.

It's the way you spitted that out. I think Sea of Thieves is better, more unique, exciting, immersive than any PS exclusive, but I don't go to Sony threads saying it in a trollish, condescending manner.
