Apparently there was a high-res version of the Soul Edge intro shown some time back. Does anyone have any good pictures of it, or even the entire thing as a video?

But the one on the PS Soul Edge disc was only a low res one, I do have that (320x240 only) in my Soul Calibur II pages.

But how can you get a high res one (than scaling it) when the one on the game disc is only low res ?

Well, apparently there was a special version of it rendered for some convention, and I seem to remember seeing a few high-res pictures of it. The version on the game disc can't be improved.

That picture is from a Chinese site, the pages are about a 2002 Japanese media art show in China.

i think the high res version is the one shown at SIGGRAPH some years ago, where it won an award for best animation IIRC.
