The words "Full Deathly Hallows" fills me with dread. I think a medium between the early cheerful and darker later books would be best.
Starting with Order, Half-Blood Prince but escalating massively with Deathly Hallows I think they became increasingly mentally draining to read. Deathly Hallows remains the one Harry Potter book I've never read more then once due to how soul crushing it was.

Honestly, the Chris Columbus style are what the current movie series needs right now. but the only book i really didn't liked was Order of the Phoenix i remember Half Blood to be more lighthearted like the others (but obviously still dark)

Can't help but feel that all we saw in that trailer was cutscenes though. None of it looked like actual gameplay to me.
As for that "other" forum.......I'm a member there, but all their "agenda" stuff worries me. I rarely go there anymore. Kind of afraid to post anything there for fear it would sound too straight/normie (whatever they might call it) and get called some sort of "ist" or another.

But all of that was in-game, so still good signs.
Also, I'm fairly confident that the flying scene and the "rolling" to avoid the beast scene had hints of actual gameplay with a different camera angle.

-freely explorable Hogwarts (including surroundings like Hogsmeade), with lots of secret passages, rooms etc.
-daily structure similar to the Persona games, where after lessons are over you can decide whether you want to explore, study,
practice spells or hang out with friends (each of which passes time in-game, so you can’t do everything everyday)
-lots of interactivity in regards to magic; I want to be able to levitate or transfigure all movable objects (books, furniture or
whatever else); if I want to turn a book into a tortoise or enlarge a rat to the size of a pony then I should be able to do so
-lots of readable books (like those found in Elder Scrolls games); the answers to certain questions in tests and exams should
be found only there
-more combat spells than just shooting energy beams; I want to cast shields, transfigure furniture into animals that attack my
enemies, freeze the ground to make them slip, summon a rope to disable them etc.
-proper Quidditch matches, where you can chose your position (Seeker, Beater, Keeper or Chaser)

I think so, you just need to adjust your expectations as you progress in the movies initially targeted more towards kids and then progressively changing as they get older. As a whole it works very well, cannot wait for the 4K UHD edition (avoid the new sequels except maybe the first one).

From a fans view:
the first 2 movies are fantastic adaptions of the books. they both share the same tone (directed by Chris Columbus; Home Alone, Mrs Doubtfire) and have this magical wonder feeling to them despite some dark scenes/topics.
the tone shifts significantly with Prisoner of Azakaban directed by Alfonso Cuaron (Children of Men, Gravity). The book is much darker so it fits perfectly. Totally different style of cinematography. It does a decent adaption of the book. There is some stuff in the book the movie could've explained a bit deeper but it does a basic job of explaining it to the viewer. The actor who portrayed Dumbledore in the first two movies died so was recast. I think he done a good job in this movie as he certainly had big boots to fill.
goblet of fire...is a chunky book so naturally a lot of stuff is left out. it does an OK job. there are two major events in the books and the movie skips almost completely over the first to focus on the last. directed by Mike Newell.
order of the phoenix is the biggest harry potter book so cuts out way more stuff. directed by David Yates (fantastic beasts movies and mostly a tv director). it's a serviceable adaption but there is just too much cut out.
half blood prince. (still directed by David Yates). some bits are off and the main events could've done with more time instead of stupid romantic crap.
deathly hallows part 1 + 2 (still David Yates) does a really good job of adapting the book. it actually shows a lot of stuff that isn't in the book. there are things left out but nothing major. the first part almost has a different feel compared to part 2 but it totally makes sense. part 1 is a bit of a slow burn and part 2 is when shit gets crazy.
TL;DR: just watch them and see what you think.

They are really fun, though keep in mind the target audience (specially for the first couple of movies) is kids.
It's probably one of the most consistently good big movie franchises. Not every movie is equally good but you don't have these massive drops in quality you get in Star Wars (comparing, say, Empire with Clone Wars or the Last Jedi) or Lord of the rings (comparing The Fellowship to any of the crappy Hobbit movies), etc.

This game is still my most anticipated 2021 release. Even after the novelty of the reveal (and validation of the leak) I am hyped. Harry Potter is such a brilliant IP and needs this type of large scale game.
I am hoping we get a full info dump and Hogwarts walkthrough this spring/summer. If I can freely walk around (fully detailed and populated) Hogwarts and surrounding areas I will be supremely satisfied.

The game sounds cool, don’t get me wrong. Anything similar to Bully sign me the fuck up. And I’m no Potter fan. But posts like that just make the smell of disappointment from the hardcores all the more palpable.
Every single book isn’t readable - 5/10

Condemn? That's great news! After being a little de-hyped due to the official trailer making it seem not quite as M-rated as speculated/leaked (symbolized by the title change from the rumored "Hogwarts: A Dark Legacy" to ""Hogwarts Legacy").
This might at least mean the game won't be extra woke to appease the "Rowling is the devil" crowd.. (well.. I have no idea what a lead designer does, it sounds important, but might not actually have much influence)
