One of the best games ever. Flawed for sure, but it's also so unique and fun to play that I'm wondering why nobody else has tried replicating the same formula.
said fuck it few days ago and grabbed it on steam
been playing none stop for the past three days and it's been a damn blast, this has to be the best Combat in an RPG ever right? i don't even know how i'll get back to souls games after this
also, absolutely love the pawn system lol, i could see myself playing this for a long time
the plot is extremely interseting too so far
the only thing i wish for is the world to be more open, other than that, this is so good
Glad you are enjoying it! It's one of my favorite games, flawed in some areas for sure but the core gameplay is the most fun I've had with an ARPG.
The thing with this game is that it got rushed and released while missing more than half of the stuff they had planned for it.
That's the reason why you'll see many fans of the game rootting for a sequel, which thank God was already confirmed to be ein development.
Also yeah, the world could be bigger, but the nice thing is that it has 0 copy pasted content. I like it, feels like an adventure rather than a theme park like most open world games do.
It is brilliant. Once it clicks its unique. And Dark Arisen is even better, do that after the main game which is rather easy once you know it and feels like a training episode. If you ask me, Dark Arisen blows Souls out of the water.
As for a Pawn, I had a utilitarian black mage. And she was great. She would cast the right spells on mobs I could finish off swiftly.
Yeah it does feel like a tutorial lol. Game's a bit easy, and Dark Arisen is just what the game needs: a big end-game dungeon with new enemies and an actual challenge.
My next playthough is going to be my first one on hard mode, and I'm kinda scared of Bitterblack Isle.
Would it be worth jumping in now (PlayStation)
Or wait for the sequel?
Jump now. It got re-released on PS4 so that version should run pretty nice.
Aside from being locked at 30fps,
apparently. If you want 60, play on PC, game is well optimized and doesn't need a great computer.
you can run through the main story in less than an hour.
wtf, how? just doing the quests leading up to Gran Soren can take much more than that.
Bless you both for the good news
Trust Itsuno, he has a plan for all of us.
