I don't think so, but maybe the eshop is still open and still releasing firmwares for the system I believe.

Considering how it sold, I'll say another year or two. We'll see Switch games that get "super enhanced" on the successor.

Think Gameboy Black Carts and Gameboy Color clear carts.
