She's very cute and a good fit for the character. We'll still get those thinkpieces about how gamers are terrible for modding in skimpy bikinis, etc into the game

Well, real models have to have certain looks to be accepted by the models agenies. What is done with their pictures in magazines is “polishing up“ I‘d say. What Insta-models do goes far beyond that.
Exactly and this woman is one of them from the looks of her Twitter posts. Not knocking her, sex sells and females know how to get the attention of a simp with ease......as this thread leads by example lol.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Dem screenshot looks like pc players running the game without TAA "because it blurs the image".
The damn REngine is designed about use of TAA to dither he hair :p

It's also a 4000% zoom .. so .. ya know that's not anywhere close to how it'll look in the actual game.

As the other poster already stated, it's zoomed in. Ashley's in-game model's face is only shown for two brief moments, one from far away hence the extreme zoom in. Anyway, I think it's pretty obvious that the face in the photo is a completely different render.

Not gonna praise capcom for this, because this is how 99% of the entertainment industry pick their image for many female chars 10 years ago, who knows what the hell is happening to many western gaming industry for choosing all the ugly female chars. Can't wait for ashley mods for the game.

Never understood the hate for Ashley, really. She's supposed to be vulnerable in RE4. Plus, she's the daughter of the US president. Of course she'll be the grouchy sort.

*SMH.

Anyway, how come Leon basically looks the same age as he was in the RE2 remake? He's supposed to be 6 years older. So that he looks the same, it's so odd.

But more horror? Yeah! The original RE4 didn't really scare me on subsequent playthroughs. It's a very thrilling game, however.

uses 'M$' - What year is it? Not 2002.

Do you expect him to have gray hair or something only after 6 years

Ashley was probably my favorite part of RE4. She was fun and escorting her was actually satisfying since her AI was so good. Way better than the shitty AI in RE5

RE5 is still a good game, though. In fact, I always looked upon 5 as being a true sequel, as 4 did not feel as connected to the older games. The fans now however, are in three categories.

Honestly, I can barely remember hating Ashley as having played all of RE4 like twenty times I just found knowing where to stand with her behind me and when to have her hid became second nature. She would rarely get hit or picked up anymore. Once you get the flow of the game, I think most would agree she’s one of the best designed escort missions in games and not that annoying.

In fact, it’s ironic that some RE fans stick their nose up at Ashley yet mock those who find tank controls difficult. In both cases, playing more and getting better at what the game offers you as options is key. I’m not saying either are easy but they can be mastered to a degree.

NO PAIN TRANCE CONTINUE
Imagine an elderly Ashley with bad vision and hearing, walking stick perhaps. Now that's an organic difficulty upgrade. Maybe an incontinent feature that when activated drives the zombies away for a while.

NO Asley tHE OTHER RIGHT!

SIGH... Reload

Pls no

Personally, I ain't the biggest fan of RE4 in general. I mean, yeah, it's fun. But the story doesn't really have much in common with the others. If anything, it kind of starts a new, rather convoluted story where the older storylines are just infrequently referenced for the sake of continuity, or to get fans of the old games invested in Capcom's new shit.

Naturally attractive young lady and a good fit for the Ashley role. And she even has a bit of resemblance to OG Ashley. But...

That "plastic human doll" makeup style is one of the worst things to come out of Japan in the recent years.

Anyway, on to other things:
- I thought Nick Apostolides was a great fit for Leon in RE2, glad he's coming back and Capcom is trying to keep the continuity. Although I'll miss Paul Mercier, we'll always have the original RE4. The thing is Paul Mercier was necessary at the time because as awesome as Paul Haddad (rest in peace, my good man :messenger_pensive:) was in the original RE2, his young/naive "rookie cop" voice was not a good fit for someone who had matured and had gone through 6 years of intense government special training.

- More than Ashley's looks, I'm way more interested in the who the voice actress is. Capcom has knocked it out of the park with the voice acting in the remakes, so my hopes for Ashley are high. Now if she says "LEON!!! HELPPPPP!!!" I won't want to blow my brains out :messenger_tears_of_joy: As for who the voice actress may be -- it's unlikely this young lady who's the visual model for Ashley, since I checked out her YouTube channel that IbizaPocholo IbizaPocholo provided in the original post, and -- no disrespect or offense meant to her -- she doesn't have a commanding "video game voice actress" voice.
