Is there a cocky character with a worse fight record than Vegeta?

I've been skipping through some episodes of DBZ, andtwo things are constant throughout. Vegeta is cocky and Vegeta loses. It's not even such a big deal that he loses, but he acts like he never loses. He doesn't even fight against the odds because it is what an honorable warrior does. He just has delusions that he will win every fight.

This list is comprised from my memory and what I've seen skipping around so far (insignifcant or assissted wins are ignored):

Vegeta makes his first appearance on Earth and fights Earth's defenders, who are all outclassed by him, besides Goku.
Loses to Goku/Gohan, 0-1

Vegeta visits Namek to continue his quest for the dragon balls.
Loses to Zarbon, 0-2

Vegeta is assisted by some convenient ret-conning. Suddenly, super sayans are made to be even stronger after recovering from a fatal injury. Goku lost many battles as a child, but was never made stronger from them. I guess the writers felt that Vegeta needed a handicap.
Defeats Zarbon, 1-2

Vegeta shits his pants for once and recognizes when he is outclassed in a rare moment when the Ginyu Force arrives.
Loses to Recoome, 1-3

Vegeta gets cocky on the power of writer's assistance and thinks his recovery will let him beat Frieza just like how it helped him beat Zarbon. Frieza easily dispatches Vegeta. Vegeta manages to spit out his sob story to Goku. This moment is meant to humanize Vegeta and make the viewer realize that Vegeta was actually a victim of Frieza and had no chance to be any other way. Viewers knew this moment well. It was the same kind of moment Piccolo had against Nappa. However, these were just meaningless dying bitch tears. Vegeta will not learn from this after being revived later.
Killed by Frieza, 1-4

Vegeta trains non stop to become a super saiyan, crying that Goku achieved it before him. Once he reaches it, his ego also becomes a super saiyan. This is sadly fed with his defeat of Android 19, the weakest of all androids.
Defeats Android 19, 2-4

Vegeta is being repeatedly told by Trunks that Android 17 and 18 are far too powerful for him. Trunks is telling him that in his time, Vegeta and all the other fighters have been killed by them, and these versions of the androids are even stronger. He literally has somebody from the future telling him what will happen. But his ego will not be stopped and he is quickly left with a broken body by Android 18.
Loses to Android 18, 2-5

Vegeta trains in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for a year and his ego is recharged. He has no idea how strong Cell is now, but still believes he is destined to win.
Loses to Cell, 2-6

Vegeta watches his son be murdered by Perfect Cell. Goku, his greatest rival, sacrificed himself to stop Cell, while Vegeta refused to even acknowledge Trunks as his son, who simply wanted to save his father as well as to get to finally know him. Both Goku and Gohan have suffered great losses in battle. Both of them reached new peaks from them and defeated foes that easily outclassed them. Vegeta just puts on a meaningless fireworks show before being one-punched by Perfect Cell. This moment was meant to try and re-humanize Vegeta. It proves to fail again later.
Loses to Perfect Cell, 2-7

Vegeta can't stop being mopey over how his birthplace doesn't give him everything like he was told. When he sees Goku again after several years, he sees that he is still no match for Goku. The only logical conclusion is to do something equivalent to selling his soul to the devil for strength. Even in this form, he still cannot beat an already-dead Goku who is simply defending himself against Vegeta.
Fails to defeat Goku, 2-8

Vegeta underestimates Maijin Buu and is beaten.
Defeated by Maijin Buu, 2-9

Vegeta fights Kid Buu in an act of desperation, but loses as expected.
Defeated by Kid Buu, 2-10

I'd call the first goku fight at best a draw. Vegeta had that won until goku got outside help while the ref wasn't looking

And he defeated goku during the boo saga with the good ol ric flair trick

Nah fam he is 3-9 not 2-10. He defeated 2nd stage Cell pretty handily. Actually, he helped Cell absorb #18 to become perfect, because he thought it would make a better fight.

Still sucks ass though tbh.

Yeah, it's really funny going back and rewatching/reading DBZ seeing Vegeta act all overconfident and shit only to get his ass beaten
Way more toned down in Super.

Honestly Piccolo's record is probably worse

Really most superhero villains have the worst possible record in this regard. they are literally always bragging about how powerful they are and how the hero has no chance, only to get completely stomped 95 times out of 100.

Part of the same fight, so it's an L. You're right that he has 3 W though, since OP left out Dedoria on Namek. So it's 3-10.

Still a shitty record though.

Thinking back it's probably better. He loses to Nappa and Freeza. But he beats Raditz, the Androids and Imperfect Cell. So he's 4-2, a winning record but just.

that's not fair, Vegeta was able to kick the asses of Kui, Dodoria and Jeice

granted he had to go through multiple Zenkais to fight them but they're still victories

Piccolo isn't really cocky though. He seems to acknowledge when the odds are against him. When the Raditz comes to Earth, he immediately partner's with Goku, his sworn enemy, because he knows he will need his help. He goes so far as to care for Goku's son in training and fight with his other enemies to fight against Vegeta and Nappa. When he gets to Namek, he willingly lets another stranger Namekian be incorporated into himself to help him against Frieza. And he does the same thing with Kami, who he hates, for the sake of fighting the androids and Cell.

Came into say this. He does beat second stage cell. Also doesn't he kill appule and that monster in Davies and Babidis test chamber thing ? Might not count though

I don't count Dodoria and Kui because they are garbage nobodies. Vegeta also killed one of the Saibamen, but I don't count that fight either.

Jeice could be counted, but Goku already put some work on him.

He let Cell power up in the middle of their fight, it doesn't count as two.

That was his character. Other characters may get beaten the crap out but nobody was ever constantly humiliated like Vegeta was because of his ego before the fights.

He wanted to be the best so bad because he was the prince of the saiyans. That's why he let himself become Majin to beat Goku. And even then Goku was holding back.

His character development is when he just realizes that Goku is indeed the best. The true hero who is the only one who can defeat Kid Buu.

That one of the reasons I don't care for Super. Vegeta reached the end of his arc and relented to Goku.

Plus he defeated Goku before outside interference in Saiyan saga.
Plus he defeated Goku in Buu Saga Ric Flair style woooo

Edit: Also his victories in Super during the tournament

I was gonna say Kui, but that's not even a win worth counting. It's almost akin to saying that his win record is amazing, if you count the audience members Vegeta murdered in the Buu saga.

Wait you're going for cocky DBZ characters that don't win... And you don't think of Hercule? Come on fam.

He wins all the time though, he's actually undefeated. He won every tournament he had been in and he assisted in the victory against Kid Buu (in essence, he is the reason the Spirit Bomb killed Kid Buu). He is also the only character on Earth who has never died once.

Goku beat Racoome
Goku beat Berter
Goku beat Nappa.
Vegeta interfered to beat Guldo by surprise.
Most of the other characters there are fodder.

Saved everyone on Namek. Mopped the floor with 19 after Goku went down, saving everyone then. Fired the shot that distracted Cell allowing Gohan to overpower him and get the win. Held off Kid Buu giving Goku the time to pull together the power to get the win using the plan that he came up with. Every saga after the Saiyin saga, Vegeta eats losses but pulls something to save the day while someone else gets the glory.

Plus side, he got Bulma. So in the end he wins regardless.

Hey now when it's a triple threat it is whoever gets the pin

Vegeta's the guy that runs into the stadium and jumps into the ring and pins a dude after he's already been down for a 9 count. Anything to try and inflate that win percentage.

I can only see 2. Burter and Recoome? Vegeta could have mopped the floor with Nappa so he doesn't count.

The red and blue speed guys from the Ginyu force. Plus Goku was the one who beat Nappa, Vegeta just stole the kill.

What Vegeta does having going for him is that he ends up becoming stronger than nearly everyone who has beaten him before.

Paul Giamatti is the villain in Shoot Em Up. His record is absolutely so terrible that the only people he manages to kill is his own henchmen. This is a guy who tries to drive over a baby on a runway.

It's an hilarious film thanks to him and he gives one of the most perfect hammy performances you've ever seen. It is wonderfully fucked. Wonderfucked.
