At a press conference held in Tokyo today, Sony Computer Entertainment revealed that it will announce its "next-generation PlayStation" by the end of the fiscal year.

The company also announced plans to exhibit it at next year's E3 show. Details will be posted later.

This basically is there way of stealing some of thunder the Xbox2 and Revolution may have gotten without the presence of a new Sony console. There more than likely going to release it in Japan during the fall of 05 and spring of 06 in the U.S.
