I wonder who here likes or knew of Cash before the American Recordings era?

I love Cash - a true American hero/legend. Although, I only have the San Quentin album. I haven't heard much of his other stuff.

Johnny Cash rules...do you know he got shot in the face, painted his hotels black, and had over 100 chicks in his hotel on mulitple occasions? I'm a huge fan.

(chicks as in baby chickens...for some reason that was a favorite prank of his on his buddies, and he really didn't get shot in the face, it was a bad sist removal when he was a kid.)

Shit yeah. Cash was the fucking man. Admittedly, I was a little too young to truly appreciate his older stuff until a few years ago, but god is it good.
