Cyberpunk sandbox Low-Fi has a new trailer fresh from the Future Games Show Spring Showcase. You can probably guess what has influenced the game, it looks very much like a certain movie, right down the the holographic Atari logo projected on the side of a building.

The game is described as “A next generation virtual reality simulation in which you as the player patrol the streets (and the skies above them) solving mysteries, fighting crime, or giving in to corruption.”

The plot has you playing as a Low-Fi, a person who is unable to get in the giant VR simulation that most of the world now live in. Instead, your character, a police officer, has been transferred to a particularly crime ridden section of the city where other Low-Fi’s live.

Low-Fi Slow has a new release trailer. It's basically an obvious homage to the usual movie people do for dark sci-fi, Big Trouble in Little China. One of the cult favorite movies for dystopia sci-fi next to They Live, and Metal Gear: Escape from New York.

The trailer looks decent though janky, although I'm still waiting for more gameplay before deciding on if this is the game to get, but based on the trailers so far it's looking good as of now.

Low-Fi is a VR RPG life-sim game that takes place in a retro-futuristic cyberpunk slum where you act as the sheriff of cityblock 303. Will you kick back and be entertained by the neon soaked lights? Or fuel your lust for high-octane action? It’s all up to you in Low-FI, launching in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR2.
