If only Ninty does not miss all this momentum here, i believe pokken fate will be different.

I wouldn't say it's bad, and they've actually changed things up a little from the previous games - but it is still the 6th Diva game on Vita/PSP since 2009 and has the least songs (24 + 6 melodies).

In the last year the Vita has had IA/VT Colorful, Miracle Girls Festival, Persona 4: Dancing All Night and Taiko no Tatsujin: V Version - it's probably rhythm game fatigue more than anything.

Announcing both a PS4 version and a PS4 port of Future Tone (220 songs!) before release won't have helped either.

If Splatoon get a remastered on NX, it will sell minimum 2.5 million NX+Wii U, most likely well over 3 million.

The game is for older hardcore gamers, the type of gamers that buy games day 1. This applies to most Playstation games these days. You'll notice that in PS3/PS4 games, the PS3 games tend to have longer legs (smaller drop %). This is probably because they are the final remnants of PlayStation's casual gamers.

Crash and DK were published by Japanese companies, GTAV (combined sales) was the first western title published by a western company to pass 1mln sales

Minecraft Vita also should be over 1mln now but it's in the same boat with Crash and DK

April 1st is the new school year starts so sales decline after a high in March due to the Spring Break inbetween semesters.
I've always called this season the post-Easter slowdown, a similar thing happens in the US too and it does actually involve Easter.

It's not just schools. Graduated young people, starts for the first time as a "salaryman" in April. The student lifestyle is over and it begins the hard world of the japanese work system.
Btw, April 1st was mostly dedicated for Entrance Ceremonies, so the real start was Monday 4th of April. That's why the drop on sales started this week.
