So it could be a close one between Star Fox Zero and Star Fox Command for the worst opening in the series.

Star Fox Command sold 27.425 units, and Star Fox 64 3D 36.858.

First Day Sales

[NDS] Star Fox Command <STG> (Nintendo) {2006.08.03} (¥4.800) - 20.000 <25%> [Units shipped => 80.000]

Just remembered that the 27th of April is Nintendo's fiscal earnings release. We should get 2DS shipment figures for Japan.

I wonder if we'll hear anything about Minecraft retail version on their launch dates release.

I wonder if we'll hear anything about Minecraft retail version on their launch dates release.

I doubt we'll hear anything about that at the meeting itself, and their release planning is always missing lots of stuff so I'm not expecting anything on that end.

Most likely a random PR out of nowhere like the eShop version back in December.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
We probably won't see Star Fox again for a very long time and that bums me out.

I kind of believe it'll sell quite better in the West (especially US) than in Japan.
Also, I don't know why, but on Amazon.co.jp digital standalone version >> retail standalone version. Is there any specific reason for that?

While Pokemon Comasters is doing better on mobile than Pokemon Shuffle ever did, they're still struggling to find a hit befitting of the brand.

Both Digimon and Yokai Watch are proving to be stronger competitors, and that's before we even get into mobile-first franchises like Monster Strike and Puzzle & Dragons.

They seem committed to trying though, so they'll probably work something out eventually.

Hi all guys.

...I'm sorry if i will go a bit OT since now i will talk about Worldwide sales, though this is the most Nintendo thread between the main 3 sales thread we have all weeks / months. ( PAL / NPD / MC ). Guess it's ok? If not sorry, last time i make this stuff. :)

Nintendo quarter report is almost here, around one week to go... i have no idea of what expect from 3DS shipments, seriusly.

Last year, Nintendo has shipped 1.65 million of 3DS, an increase of 180% compared to 2014 590K. Though, is obvius that those 2 quarter 3DS was very undershipped, since there is no way sales were so low.

In 2014, 3DS has sold a bit more than 400,000 in USA for the firsts 3 months of the year, and a bit less than 700,000 in Japan, which mean only Japan + USA are about 1.1 million.

Europe sales were about the same of US, more or less.

This graph posted by Nintendo should help

07l.jpg

And for now seem all normal, they overshipped 3DS during 2013, so seem legit they undershipped 3DS for the firsts 3 months of 2014.

What i really don't understand are the 2015 Q1 shipments, really...

February 2015 was the launch of the New Nintendo 3DS in the west, which sold pretty good at launch with over 175,000 unit sold first week in USA and over 160,000 in Europe.

For the firsts 3 months of 2015, 3DS has sold a roughly 730,000 unit in the US, and even this time, Europe sales were very similar looking at the Nintendo graph above, while it sold 620,000 unit in Japan.

US + Japan are >1.35 million, with Europe that has very similar sales to USA, 3DS is about >2 million or more for the first quarter of the year only in USA, Japan, and Europe, not to considering the all others market of the world.

Now, here what i don't get, how they have shipped only 1.65 million... I mean, like i said, 2014 is normal, nothing of important is happen and they have overshipped it in 2013, but the first quarter of 3DS in 2015 was the west release of the New 3DS, i don't understand how they shipped that low... And is not like The last quarter of 2014 was insane or what, Nintendo shipped just under 5 million...

This was the New 3DS West release quarter, so, i don't understand how they undershipped in that quarter...

Now, in 2016. Well, as usual Nintendo quarter report will be out, i just don't know what expect from 3DS...

Sales of 3DS in the USA are for some strange reason better than in 2014.

Fire Emblem Fates sistem seller? Pokémon first gen? Those are the only two thing i can think... Anyway, in 2016 3DS has sold 416,000 for the first quarter of the year, and is the second worst quarter.

Nothing to say about Europe.

Now, here were the things are interesting.
Japan are according to Media Create more than 460K... BUT, those sales doesn't include 2DS.

YSO prediction has 2DS at < 120K, 95K avg. for the first week, this is the only thing we have, which is not much, but is something... of course it may be way bigger or way smaller, who know.

The point is that 2DS surely sold "some unit", and Nintendo shipped something... I would say 3DS shipments for this quarter in Japan could be bigger than it's sales thanks 2DS, but i thought the same last year with New 3DS in the west, and in the end they undershipped it.

What we can expect for 3DS this quarter, then?

USA and Japan combined are almost 880K. Europe for 3DS is usually very similar to USA, and some time even better, so i believe that even Europe should be not much difference, and there is rest of world.

So, for shipments, i don't know... any guess?

1 million / 1.2 million ? maybe more, maybe less? Opinion?

Thanks for reading. :)

S-E announced the release date at an event on 8 Sep 2009 and preorders started nationwide the day after, 3 months before its release.

Direct comparison with XV is completely pointless at the moment.

They went from over 800 monsters in DQM2 to 500-something monsters, and a lot of the "new" monsters are just recolors. Then they acted like the game didn't exist until shortly before release.

Like, I honestly don't know what they expected. This game's still the only thing I want for my b-day but like come the fuck on SE.

For instance, at Sofmap Akiba they have received two new shipments of Wii U during this week. So, it seems things about shortages are starting to become less usual, and some stores are directly aiming to use the word "popular good" attached to the product.

At Bic Camera Hachioji, the Starfox Zero Double Pack was more popular than the normal version, and it seems is kinda general thing. Of course, the game sold quite bad.

Dragon Quest Heroes II at Takarajima Stores had its new stand. Things are ready for the game's launch one month before.

It's not new some games are cutpriced and that one of those is Monster Strike. It hasn't sold its first shipment yet.

I was curious and made a comparison... Current follower count on Twitter:

- Nintendo: 602 680
- Splatoon: 454 865

Wii U keeps getting these "urgent shipments" (緊急入荷). (Bic Camera Ginza)
It's funny how stores say that the reason of the low stock is popularity lol

Come on, what do you mean, Wii U would be selling 50k/week if not for those shortage!

...

Seriously, looks like we're finally seeing the end of those shortages?

01./00. [3DS] Kirby Triple Deluxe <ACT> (Nintendo) {2014.01.11} (¥4.800) - 214.208 / NEW <92,02%>

Seems kind of low for Kirby, but I don't know how an early January launch is supposed to compare to Golden Week.

Yup, that's quite the drop. But at least, Robobot Planet comes out one day before the start of the Golden Week, so its second week should be much better (especially since it's precisely the type of game that sells well during that week).

It's not new some games are cutpriced and that one of those is Monster Strike. It hasn't sold its first shipment yet.

Curious to see if mixi will try another retail release in the future. I bet retailers won't forget that one any time soon ;)

Famitsu has a column for Cyber Connect 2 this week and confirms a game under the codename "Project Venom" in development for home consoles.

I do wonder why they even bother with the ambiguous "home consoles" when it always means PS4... Although it could still be cross gen at this point.

It's not ambiguous, just general. CC2 is a developer, not a publisher, so if they want to talk about something they're developing in general without making any firm announcements before the publisher is prepared to, they'll just say console or portable. Nothing unusual about it really. I mean who knows, if it's a worldwide game, it could be for XB1 too.
