You'll feel it is great subtle but great and I don't if it is because I changed my sound system but Demon's Souls sounds really good, so you will be happy if you are into atmospheric almost overwhelming sound presence.
I have the Pulse 3D headset ready and waiting. But I also have a nice sound system as well.

How’s everyone doing today?
Apart from that drama this morning, all is well. I have Minecraft installed on my temp work laptop so all is well, and it runs fairly smoothly. I’m hitting 55-60FPS at any rate. What I really need is a dedicated gaming portable. Which is why I’d love a Switch OLED for Minecraft, Pokémon and Metroid Dread.

My neighbor text me this morning cause there was a bum in our parking structure with his cart and set up shop. I look out and hes smoking crack. My scaredy neighbors always text me about this stuff lol.

I go out there and dude is on a bomb one. I tell him to get out of here. He acts all weird and gets a bit hostile but I run him off.

Then my neighbor comes out after he literally watches me through the window. They wanna let me get stabbed by a bum bahahah. I keep a couple bats at edge of my garage tho. Bum gonna have a dented in head before they get close to me with a knife.

I fucking hate homeless crackheads. They wander off from the freeway area into nice neighborhoods.

Hey fun fact gaf did you know that a water cooler can explode?...

Me neither that's why it was such a surprise to me when it happened.
And the best part I wasn't even touching anything about the cpu, I just replaced an hdd.I just removed the side panel leaned the computer and it exploded right away sending boiling liquid and vapor through my arm and face...
What a great year it has been so far to me, luckily for me, I don't think my GPU fried but I lost CPU and motherboard...Yay.
I was thinking of upgrading but in a year or two.
I will get another cpu and motherboard tomorrow hoping that it didn't fry my power supply simply because I don't want to wait to get another one.
Thankfully I had a bit of money on the side and it will be christmas soon but damn it was a bad day.So to all you guys be carefull with your watercooling sometimes it can explodes for no reasons ... I suspect it was badly installed but am suprised it could last about 10 years like that.

Damn. I’ve never heard of that happening either. Maybe a blockage caused a pressure build up, I think you’re supposed to change the fluid every now and again.

Water cooling seems to mainly be for CPUs, but I don’t quite get that. My i5 4690k has never been hot with a basic Hyper 212 fan or whatever it’s called, it’s more than okay. It’s GPUs that need the cooling, that’s where the heat and noise comes from in my experience.
See, this is why I’ve always been too anxious about building my own PC from scratch. There’s so much that could go wrong. Exploding water coolers are just one of the many dangers. I’m glad you’re all good though, mate.

In other computing news, I picked up my temp work laptop. It’s running Windows XP, and I love it for that. I have full access to regedit and Command Prompt, so I might do some poking around to see if I can get it to run smoother, though. I had Minecraft installed on the one that got pinched. I should be getting that back once investigations are done.
PC building is like a puzzle except that all of the pieces are colour coded for you so that you can’t get it wrong and there are no repeating shapes so there’s very little danger of sticking the wrong thing into the wrong connector. The only remotely risky thing when I built my PC was that the CPU pins are very delicate, so you just have to be careful when putting that in, but even that’s simple: no pressure at all, just line it up and let it drop in. The only possibly messy part was putting thermal paste on

Sites like http://pcpartpicker.com help you pick matching parts and get good prices, and there are 1000 videos on installing everything. Honestly, it looks worse than it is. It took me the best part of a day because I was quite honestly too careful and double checked every step, but it worked without problem the first time I turned it on.

The first time you install Windows on a PC and realise how much shit a pre made computer/laptop comes with that you’re now free of is great.

You mentioning Command Prompt reminds me of one time in college when I told someone about the netsend command that I had just found out about, which let you send a message to another device on a network. He did netsend * “Why are you so gay”. The * was a wildcard instead of an actual recipient, so he thought it would go to everyone in our class. Instead, a little prompt popped up on every single computer in the entire college - every student and every teacher, no matter what subject they were doing suddenly got a message on their screen. We were doing IT, and the network admin’s office was directly behind where we were sitting. He was out of his office like a shot looking for the computer that sent it. That was a funny day.

Yep I know that the fluids have to be changed, the problem is that I didn't even know it was water cooled. My guess would be that there weren't enough liquid, so temp rised, so it added probably vapor that expanded and slowly unplugged the cable and the slight movement of leaning the computer was at the perfect( or worst) time and it blew up.Now I shoud be getting the replacement today, I just hope that my gpu and power supply are fine, especially the gpu, since it's an rtx 2080.
I guess you'll be surprised that I chose a ventirad for the cpu now.Now let's hope that power supply and gpu are fine and that the parts replacement goes well too.
All that is a shame i had just changed my TV and amp so let's hope I won't have to buy a GPU again, hopefully the motherboard/cpu took all of the hit and the rest is fine, because when I tried to boot it without cooling it wouldn't do anything, no fan spinning or anything. My guess is that the motherboard died but the power supply might've taken a hit too.Power supply aren't expensive but it means I'll have to wait again and my computer has essential datas that I will need in the upcoming days.

I remember using netsend in work to some poor girl, something along the lines of implying she was looking at porn and the IT dept requests she stop. I heard an audible gasp, I was laughing away at my desk and then she burst into tears. Felt bloody horrible especially as I had to tell her it was me and was only a joke.

Wasn't as bad as when she got another job and we were faxing each other dumb shit. Sent something along the lines of her being a cunt. She was on lunch when I sent it, her boss picked it up and asked her what it was all about. She denied knowing and didn't speak to me for a month, he thought someone was stalking her (we were good friends and stayed good friends once she got over it).

Still crack up laughing when I think about both of those.

Netsend was amazing for trolling coworkers. Good times.

Hell yeah, when I was working in the Vodaphone HQ in my early twenties some fucker in the office kept using it and sending it to random computers saying they'd won a prize and pick it up at reception. Massive 5-6 floor building. I'd say the receptionist was extremely pissed off with the amount of people calling down. I wasn't that dumb.

That sounds eerily similar to what happened to me in my youth. I wasn’t aware netsend was such a popular prank.

GAFs short-lived USENAME function was great for pranks here too. Instead of just tagging someone in a post it would show the name of the person reading the post. Hilarity ensued.

That's hilarious, may have a vague recollection of confusion regarding posts a good while back if it was that. hahaha

I swear you could do something similar on Facebook. Like you post a generic profile link in a status, say you’ve had enough of them, and watch the chaos unfold as everyone thinks you’re talking about them.

Yeah there was, that's going way back. Was confusing at first but everyone started doing it.

That was back in the days when social media wasn’t so toxic. I’ve long deleted my Facebook, deactivated my Twatter too, and only really use Instagram now and then. I miss the days of MySpace and Bebo.

Same, all mine are gone too. Linked FB to Spotify so kept accidently reactivating it so I just gave up, there's nothing on it worth caring about now anyway.

Alright guys I have a computer again, I can't test it for games yet but I will probably give forza 5 a shot to see if it can handle it.I got a serious upgrade of my ram and cpu it was a hassle to install because you need kids sized hands but strong. So I cut myself a few times (some parts are razor sharp). But now everything is working fine.

That just a blood sacrifice to feed the CPU gods. All part of the ritual.

No new mobo needed is lucky. I would imagine Forza would be fine, just not as strong on RT as 30 series would have been. Still better than consoles, I imagine

Yep I used my blood as a thermal paste, that ventirad was HUGE but I guess it will cool it nicely.

Last time I checked it was running everything at max at 4k60 before the explosion. It just had a streaming issue that would have been solved if it was installed on one of my ssd.Now with more and faster ram and a bigger ssd, I don't see this issue happenning again.

It’s like Walmart but worse. They constantly nagged us for years to upgrade to the higher tier with promises we’d make more than it cost and if it didn’t they’d refund us. We finally did and our rebate was way less. Customer support refused to refund too. So we canceled it. Every trip we would get hounded to upgrade with promise of refund. I would explain each time what happened and they would act surprised even if it was the same worker from before.

Just don’t go during peak hours or the day before a holiday. Otherwise it’s god’s gift to consumers.

edit

Maiden Voyage Maiden Voyage if you don’t spend much every year it’s not worth the upgrade for sure but we’ve never had it not pay off, we go pretty much every week (but have two kids and buy diapers and all kinds of expensive shit regularly)

Easiest way to deal with that sort of thing is "Can I get that in writing please?" They either shut up or give you a written commitment

People have a hard time separating things that are moral or stupid from questions of legality. I’ve got all sorts of thoughts about how stupid that whole situation was, but after looking at all the evidence, it’s hard to say it’s the wrong legal decision.

I’ve been spending quality time with my kid all morning and just checked out Twitter, holy shit, you’d think a nuke just went off
